If you're alone on valentine's Day... well get over it! You still have Deadpool~You know what to do, call him!
New print design for my upcoming appearance at Perth Oz Comic Con! Figured I should rush it this month and add a few designs actually based off comic characters XD
I don't read comics... so I haven't even read Deadpool. I just know him from video games orz;;
Oh, but one thing that I DO know is that for some reason there's many versions of the same character DX so I'm sorry if the costume isn't accurate. I tried to base it off the Deadpool from the upcoming video game
haha, Deadpool always reminds me of Dante I guess that's why this pic ended up being quite similar to my Dante fanart
I'm aware that the lighting is just... wrong in this pic, and probs even the perspective DX

For not knowing the character, you nailed him. I love Deadpool and I think I can give you a quality rundown of his key traits if you'd be interested, so that you're armed to work with the character further if you like.
Most importantly, Deadpool is insane. He *really* wants to be a hero (Specifically, an X-Man). Still, he's a psychopath and doesn't hesitate to kill. Deep down though, he's smarter and saner than people, even himself, give him credit for. Usually he falls into the good guy category, even though no one would willingly want to count on him.
His humor is mostly off the wall, out of left field one liners and a lot of being the butt of the joke. Since he is basically immortal and can heal from any wound, a lot of his jokes are basically horrific errors in judgement that wind up with his dismemberment. Basically picture Spider-Man if he was schizophrenic and instead of spider sense, everything that can go wrong does and he just heals from it.
Deadpool has a split personality, and it generally comes in threes. The first is Deadpool's dialogue. Dude doesn't have a filter, basically says everything he thinks. When Deadpool speaks, the dialogue bubbles are yellow with black outlines and font. (Can't tell if you went for this, since the color of your bubble is a bit yellowish, but the yellow used in the books is pretty bright.)
The second and third are the thoughts he doesn't vocalize, because they seem to be separate personalities. In yellow boxes appear Deadpool's "insane" thoughts. Basically, anything off the wall or funny goes in yellow. In white boxes appears Deadpool's voice of reason, a less insane part of his mind that points out his insanity and has a general disdain for Deadpool.
Deadpool often has three way arguments or conversations with his own thoughts.
The final bit, and one of the most important, is Deadpool knows he is a comic book character. He constantly breaks the fourth wall, and references things that are "Meta" to his world. For example, he might reference how busy Wolverine is being in like 14 ongoing books (and how jealous that makes him.) Or perhaps how he needs to clean up his image so he can sell more action figures. He also speaks directly to the reader almost constantly, often causing other characters to ask who he is talking to (when they don't just dismiss him as crazy.)
Which of course means that your dialogue bubble does the exact opposite of ruining the piece. It is, in fact, the cherry on top.

Yeah i was also a bit confused about the speech bubbles but from looking at the comic pages most of them are yellow so yes i did try to make it yellow, but too yellow kind of ruined the colour balance.
I think ill really enjoy Deadpool comics! I really love the character so far and his sense of humour is really good with me! XD
I didnt know he is immortal though!

Deadpool isn't really either hero or villain, exactly. It depends a lot on who is writing him and what he's doing. He's definitely done some pretty villainous things. Hell, in a recent non-canon mini-series, he went ultra-crazy and killed every character in the marvel universe.
Still, Deadpool really *wants* to be a hero. Not so much out of moral principle, but because he wants to be popular like the heroes. It's also often subtly implied that somewhere deep down he really does like to do the right thing, but he is insane and doesn't always know what that is or the best way to go about it.
As for his immortality, it's really more that he is "effectively immortal." He has a healing factor of such magnitude that he doesn't age, and he can heal from even the most devastating of wounds. Basically the same thing as Wolverine.
Now is a good time to pick up Deadpool's ongoing, as they just started a new ongoing. It's on issue 5 or so. It's written by comedian Brian Posehn.

I've known of Deadpool for a long time, but never read any of the comics and I wasn't aware of any video games featuring him. That said, I am enamored by him after having read his TV Tropes article. So much funny.

because i am deadpool i thought that was self explanitory i don't need to call deadpool since i am him or as close as you can get without the whole healing factor and cancer but i am my life is a direct copy of deadpools we both are greatly hated and liked by many loved by few we both ramble endlessly about nothing we both have a weird and some times sick sence of humor we both love to bother friend and foe with our crazy ideas we botth love to shoot stuff and stabb things we both enjoy a good PINAPLE SUPRISE we love to dance around we both like to have fun when we are working even if it is important to stay serious so yeah i am deadpool people of earth beware I AM HERE TO SLAY THE DAY!!!!
