Description A bunch of doodles of various obscure monsters I forgot about in my stash.

The skinless centaur-like entity is a nuckelavee.
This Scottish fairy/demon (welcome to the inconsistent world of mythology, folks!) is described is having a human torso from the waist up growing out of the middle of a horse's back, the lower half of the body is an entire horse, both heads have a single eye, and it has no skin.
Did I mention it lives in the sea where it chases people along the beaches in an attempt to drag them under?
The nuckelavee is usually male, but I drew a little girl because I can.

The dragon lady in the upper right corner is a vouivre, from France.
They are described as dragons with the face and breasts of a woman, and are said to have a ruby or pearl in the middle of their forehead.
This gem is said to be their source of sight, and was said to be highly sought for its magic properties.

The green guy is a vodyanoi, a creature from Russian folklore.
Its name literally means "old man of the river", or something to that effect.
Vodyanoi are river spirits, often described as frog-like and having scales, gills,  and a fish's tail.
A variant known as the vodnik is described as virtually human other than a greenish coloration(and perpetually wet coattails, but that's neither here nor there.)
The vodyanoi will flood things and drown people and animals when angered, but his assistance an be gained through offerings of tobacco or alcohol.
They are not hostile to millers or fisherman, as they work with the water.
(Everyone else stands a decent chance to be on the menu, though)
It's also said that their age changes with the phases of the moon, though it's never really stated how this works.
(Do they get older as it waxes and younger as it wanes? Is it a full moon thing? I'd tell you, but I literally have no idea.)

This individual is definitely not old yet, but I'm sure he'll get there eventually.

The blue bird is Bakbakwalanooksiewae, known also as Hokhoku.
He's from the myths of the Kwakiutl tribe of Native Americans, and his name means "cannibal at the north end of the world."
(This is what's known as a name to run away from really fast.)
He picks out people's brains with his beak.
I went with blue due to the climate of where his myth originated, and overall tried to give him a look similar to a ritual dress, as he is the subject of ritual dance.

That little brown critter is the wolpertinger, the jackalope's weirder German cousin.
In addition to be a rabbit with deer antlers, it has a squirrel tail, bat's wings, and fangs.
It's also a predator.
I added slit pupils on a whim, and honestly, they don't look out of place on this thing.

The Ontares is an antlered serpent that lives in lakes and likes to eat people.
There also at least one story of a human becoming one of these, hence the hybrid appearance.
(Also, all I had for description were "serpent" and "antlers", so needless to say there were gaps to be filled.)

The last figure is a rusalka, a vampire variant from Slavic myth.
They are spirits that lurk near waterways, seeking to drown people.
Rusalki have translucent skin and sometimes tails, and are said to be able to turn into water creatures or horses.
They are rather fairy like in that they can be driven away with iron.
They are also described as somewhat vampiric.

Naturally, I combined the translucent skin and tail with some horse hooves and a few vampire traits(the fact that the veins I drew look like cracks is just a bonus.)
