Whoa, think I botched the paint job. o.0 But methinks I'll wait for the customer to have a say before I try again. I personally like how the wings came out. The colors remind me of Capri Sun or something. xDSuper sculpey clay around a wire armature, no glass eyes. Painted with acrylics. Stands at roughly five inches tall, seven inches long.

Wow ... the wings work particularly well, and I like the pose - I mean, I know it's standing rather than bounding around or pulling some elaborate attack move, but the turn of the head brings a real depth and life to it ... I can't quite explain what I mean - it just seems so much more alive. The colours also fit together nicely. Really good job!

I like it a lot, especiallyt he way that you did the wings. Very interesting. How do you get the wings to stay up as you sculpt or is your clay just good at not being heavy and falling over

Actually, methinks the clay is quite heavy! But I've got wire as a frame inside it to hold it up. There are also slivers of wire in each primary feather so they won't flop over in the oven and curl.
