Description

"I've got a golden twinkle in my eye..."

Considering his existence was inspired by a song, it should be no surprise that art of Zeke would have a Music Reference in the title.

Believe it or not, this is something that I've wanted to draw for about 2 years now.
I did the original sketch for this in school two years ago, it featured Zeke reaching his hand out towards Galahad as if asking for a handshake, with Galahad in a defensive pose resisting the offer.

It sounds pretty good, but it wasn't that great, Galahad looked okay, but Zeke looked lanky & Weird. (I'll probably post it later on Twitter)
Even at the time I wasn't overly happy with it, and I always kept the idea tucked away in the back of my mind just in case I wanted to give it another show, and low and behold I got the sudden urge to draw both Galahad & Zeke, so why not draw them together!

Anyhoo, I had sketched this up a bout a week or two ago and hadn't gotten around to finishing it up until yesterday.
I got kind of hung up on the background, I had sketch the background but I put Galahad & Zeke on a plain black one temporarily to make sure I had the lighting right, the problem was the looked REALLY good on the plain black background and I wasn't sure if I wanted to finish the BG I had sketched.
I had a couple ideas for different approaches to it, but in the end I went with what you see here and I'm actually pretty happy with it!

I had a lot of fun working on the lighting/shading for this, I tried a couple different effects and experimented a little and it turned out EXACTLY the way I wanted it to, personally I'm really happy with it.
