i'm starting to get into the swing of my new 'style'. this was basically just one big experimentation, and i almost didn't get past the line art stage. i didn't like it, then i coloured it and i kind of did, then i went off it again and fiddled around with the colours... i'm not yet sure if i like it or not, i'll have to see what other people say.i like the idea of returning to more traditional aesthetics, even if it's mostly created on the computer (because it's so much faster, haha). i'm really trying to stay away from the HTK style, and full-on anime in general X3

Gorgeous gorgeous use of colour, that pink is offset marvelously by the turquoise, and the subtle gradient on it from cool to warm makes it an eyecatcher.

i ADORE felicia!!! she's my second favourite (morrigan sorta wins over her by just a teeny tiny bit! 
and i love those hello kitty undies! omg, soooo cute! i'd love something like that! (i'm such a sucker for cute things... hahaha. i get all girly and jumpy and i even hit other people when i see cute things. its rather bad
the pose is wonderful, and i love this colouring style. the texture really makes it look like a watercolour painting, and i've always found them to be very expressive! its neat that you were able to reproduce it digitally!!
and her hair? lets not even get started with that! i just love it. if i had hair like that, i would be so incredibly happy!!!

A lot of people are really against the HTK style. Which I think is cool because a lot of people just take it overboard o_O;
I really love the colours in this. I think this piece is interesting because your new style is very bold throughout it, but also your old style is really shining through, especially the unique sketch lineart that you do! I love how soft her eyes look and how her shoulders and neck came out. I'm glad you posted it <3 Also, the hair has a gorgeous texture to it!
My only crit would be to try to work more shading into your work. The textures are cool, but it kind of looks a little flat without proper shadows and highlighting...

whoa. I have to say I don't think I've ever seen a sexier Felicia image. HONESTLY. I love the way your digital works always look so much like watercolors (to me, anyway) .. thanks for linking to that page of textures. I think I'll be sure to experiment at a later date. how is it you incorporate them into your colors?
anyway, her pose is great and I'm really entranced by that smoky look in her eyes.
