Description The first of a pair of pics for , this one is of the Jupiter Stardroid from Mega Man 5 for the Game Boy. Like my old Fire Man pic, I took some liberties with his official design and added more details to his armor; much fun was had making the yellow parts gold. In doing so I found I couldn't resist giving his armor the planet's astronomical symbol as a motif.

shiny! i'm not familiar with this character, but i really like how you incorporated the logo throughout. i can't tell if it's "4" or "21" and that makes it all the more awesome. was the serial number a creative liberty as well? cool touch!

Thanks! It's actually Jupiter's astronomical symbol . Since all the Stardroids are named after planets, I like to imagine each of them bearing their corresponding symbol in this art style. And all Mega Man Robot Masters have their own official serial number, this one's is SRN-005 .

well that makes sense! i failed every science class created, so i didn't even know planets had astronomical symbols.

Do they all have serial #s? Man... Capcom is obsessive. or maybe the word I'm looking for is "thorough"...

regardless, knowing this really showcases your attention to detail and the amount of thought and planning that goes into your work. Impressive, as usual!

Not only do they pretty much all have serial numbers , but the CD database in Megaman & Bass gives them even more trivial details, for example Heat Man apparently likes barbecues and dislikes ice cream...I think the serial numbers qualify as "thorough" and all subsequent trivia falls under "obsessive."

I actually didn't know about all this prior to looking it up on the Mega Man wiki, since I'm not very familiar with the franchise having only played a few games. It's why I did a little background research before starting on the pic, I like including these kinds of small details, and I'm glad you notice them.

obsessive is correct. although it's probably good that they didn't use details, such as "heat Man enjoys Karaoke and long walks on the beach"

shudder.

it's those little details that add so much realism to the pictures you make... as real as robots get, that is!

Oh wow, Jupiter turned out great, too! So shiny. Again, thank you very much, both of these pictures really made me smile.

Sorry, I don't really plan on drawing more Stardroids any time soon, or any other Megaman characters for that matter.
