A lovely photo. Very simple and show the "lowly" sparrow to be a fine specimen! Great presentation with the feather in crisp detail and the background fading softly behind.
I wrote a short little story called, "Little Brown Bird" for my grandaughter. This would be the perfect resource for an illustration. Would you give your permission for me to use it?

Adorable shot. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who finds sparrows great subjects for photography (not that I have any in my gallery).

This is almost unreal, the fresh beauty of it. Not to mention I love sparrows, they have that lovely feeling around them, can't quite explain but nevertheless. Just like this, the composition and the colours, how her feathers stand out from all the green. And I love how the light lands on her so gently. Wonderful shot, Johnny.

I'm curious on what kind of lens you are using. I love the way objects not in focus appear. What is the name for that type of focusing?

I understand the concept of DOP, the way it focuses is very interesting though. My 300 focuses a little differently.
