His eyes say so much, he should be free, but then I know in some cases it aint safe for a number reasons which makes everything seem so sad. Nice work

Awwww this reminds me of a show I saw on Animal Planet yesterday while doing my homework. A lioness adopted a baby oryx and followed it wherever it went and they were both dying, her from starvation and the calf as well, they went 19 days without food, when the baby found a mother with milk the lioness chased them both and was happily back with the calf. On day, day nineteen she let the calf wander out of side while she rested, a male lion was in the bushes and attack the calf, the calf was still alive and calling for the lioness to help while it was in the jaws of the male lion dangling. It tried to escape but the male lion held it down and picked it up once more and walked off as the lioness smelled the blood confused, she was too weak to take on the male, but it's still very sad. The lioness adopted five other oryx one died of starvation and the last one she abandoned, it amazingly found it's mother when the lioness left and after that no one has seen the lioness since.
It was so sad when the little oryx died, she never adopted another oryx for as long as the first, I cried when the male got the little one, sad ending for the fellow.
Well very nice shot, it shows how powerful a male lion is.

This is what I hate about zoos, almost impossible to get a photo with a clean background! Although I suppose that it lends itself to the title of your photo!
Nice shot!
