I dunno, but knowing Fitzhugh, he'll be more terrified than the average human...

Actually I slapped it together with the "Ghost Town" episode of Land of the Giants, but that was where LOTG got the idea in the first place. Rod Serling got the idea for his episode "Stopover in a Quiet Town" while walking through a studio back lot.

Fitz did mostly find himself caught by boys. A girl might be a nice change.

Thanks! I'm getting a bit better with the perspective. I took nearly two days of just pencil sketching with all those model sheets to try and learn anything I didn't know.

They do this on the show a lot especially in the early seasons.

The Marge/Lisa bonding moments on The Simpsons, though rarely of primary importance on the show, always had a definite vibe that worked and this picture follows the same vein. I also love Lisa actually being portrayed here as a kid who has curiosity and asks an adult a question, one of the great flaws of (particularly modern Simpsons) of her being just a vehicle for The Simpson Writer's political beliefs. Nice one mate x

Yeah, she does get fairly political, but in ways she reminds me of my own daughter who is very political.

How nice of you to mention moi in your narrative. I enjoyed joining you in ragging the Fitzhugh character from "Land of the Giants." Your description of Fitzhugh as a new "pet" for giant Lisa reminded me of the "Star Trek" episode, "The Squire of Gothos," in which the squire, Trelane's alien parents intervene to stop him from killing Capt. Kirk. While bawling out their "son" for his misbehavior, the mother tells him, "If you cannot take proper care of your pets then you cannot be allowed to have them at all." Incidentally, this is a pretty good study in forced perspective and angles. Very cute and funny and a nice journey into nostalgia.

Perspective is a gas. It's a fun challenge. And I always think of "A Stopover in a Quiet Town" in Twilight Zone where the mother tells her daughter, "Put your pets down dear; your father brought them all the way from Earth."

Ah, yes. I'd forgotten about "The Twilight Zone." And that particular episode was a fine example of gigantism fantasy. The scene in "A Stopover at a Quite Town" that I always liked was when the couple board a train that stops at the same place it starts from. It is then revealed that this is a (giant) child's model train set. fav.me/d65vplh

The fellow, who just died about a year ago, was the first ever James Bond if you can believe it. He also had a small part in "The Shining."

Yes, I do believe it. He played James Bond in an old TV drama series from the '50s called "Climax". The episode was "Casino Royal" as it was originally written by Ian Fleming, with Peter Lorre as the villain, Le Schiff, who gets wiped out in a game of baccarat with Bond.

That's pretty good street cred if you've been in anything with Peter Lorre. For a high school project we once did a movie poster of "Casablanca." I also enjoy the old Firesign Theater routines where they had a character named Rocky Rococo who sounded just like Lorre in their "Nick Danger" bits.

I remember listening to a record album of the Firesign Theater way back in my youth. It was a really funny parody of Sherlock Holmes called, "The Giant Rat of Sumatra."

One of my favorites from college was the UFO conspiracy theory spoof called "Everything You Know is Wrong." In it, they have a "secret air force film" where the watcher is given tips on how to handle an alien invasion. "What to do if an alien appears: avoid eye contact. If there are no eyes, avoid all contact." That is still one of the funniest things I've ever heard.

Yes, a pathetic, whiny wimp that shrieks like a little girl every time danger is afoot. In real life, though, he had quite an interesting life; as an army photographer, he was one of the first to photograph what was left of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I only found this out the other day. But his character was pathetic. Fitzhugh was supposed to be a poster child for all the bad traits that a character can have.
