How big you think this would be in Minimum Gauge? Specifically, 15 inch?

It would be pretty big! About half the size of the size of the real thing. (If the engine were real)
This was a prototype that was partial inspiration and so the engine I designed is about the same size.

It's 3ft gauge, so reduce its size by half, and that would be about its size for 15 inch gauge.

I only ask since my girlfriend wants to plan out a minimum gauge style railroad with in-cab riding (where you're covered by the cab) and this is the only engine I've found that looks proportionally correct and isnt a forney.

I heard about Heywood through some research and through my girlfriend as well. With me, I'm trying to convince her to design a Heisler based on both a freelance standard gauge design I drew up in MS paint recently (go check it out) and the Roaring Camp's No. 2 "Tuolumne", and I told her I preferred Heislers better because I'm more of the guy who runs everywhere so I need an engine speedy enough to do so. Hence, I picked the fastest geared locomotive I know.

She is, it's :devGalaxyExpress2199:. I prefer you turn on the mature tags before you look through it though, she makes "specialized" art as well as normal railway and War of the Worlds art.

I can't stand it when people say "I whish I could draw as good as you", and stuff like that. Anyone, and I do mean ANYONE can draw as good or better than I!!! The question you need to ask yourself is "How bad do YOU want to?".

Those conversions have an interesting look to them, but I doubt it'd be hard to make a bigger one from 2 HO 0-4-0s that scales out a little better.

I'm not going for a "Westside" Heisler. I wanted something small intentionaly. Something similar in dementions to the Gilpin Tramway locos.

I know, just not my favorite style. I'm more into bigger geared steam, but I have seen some nice looking smaller ones. To me the HO conversions should have longer wheelbases to look right. Usually the smaller geared locos used the same size trucks as the larger.

I've seen one to, at the Pennsylvania Railroad museum in Strasburg PA. As well as a Shay and bossibly a Climax, but I'm not sure on that last one.
