Hi everyone,

Here's yet another fan-made Super Sentai (aka Power Rangers) team of mine. Uchuujin Sentai Hoshiranger (Alien Taskforce Star Ranger), or Power Rangers : Astral Defenders.

You know the two space-themed Power Rangers Series, "Power Rangers In Space" and "Power Rangers Lost Galaxy" right? Well actually, their Japanese "Super Sentai" Counterparts were actually only semi-spaced, with only the zords of "Megaranger" being Space-themed and the true motif of the series was electronic equipment. Also, "Gingaman" was set in a magic forest instead of a space-station like Lost Galaxy.

Well, here's the first true Space-themed Sentai series. The heroes of the team are actually (humanoid) aliens who were exiled from each of their home worlds to Earth and have only one year to determine the fate of both their worlds and our world.

The series theme song is by Psychic lover, who previously sanng the songs for Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger in 2004 and Samurai Sentai Shinkenger in 2009. The series is narrated by seiyū Ryūsei Nakao, who you may remember as the voice of Frieza in Dragonball Z.

HoshiBlue, Nia. Wairror of Agility.
HoshiYellow, Zan. Wairror of Speed.
HoshiRed, Doln. Wairror of Stamina.
HoshiOrange, Graa. Wairror of Strength.
HoshiPink, Liya. Wairror of Intellect.

Additionall info :

* The team has a female leader (Pink), akin to Kakuranger and Timeranger, while the Red's is the driving force. Nia (HoshiPink is also the princess of her homeworld).

* In the series finale, Doln (HoshiRed) deciedes that he actually likes it on Earth and decides to live there.

* Like Kami Sentai Tenranger, the heroes use finger-rings as henshin devices (I'm trying to use cell phone morphers the least amount of times as I can, because us Sentai fans seriously need a break).

* The Rangers can communicate telepathically, instead of using a communicator, for a change.
