BIG ASS FILE RIGHT HERE!AND NOTE: In the manga and anime, Mello's scar DOES NOT travel like a crazy thingy down to his shoulder, HOWEVER A LOT of people put the scar going down that far, so we did that version of the scar because it looks more...it looks more like a big ass scar. So yes. you don't need to do the shoulder part, but we did. So yeah. It's really up to you!
HEY GUYS!
So, after I put up my pictures of the Mello scar makeup I applied on myself, ~Plush-Mello asked me how to do it, and I thought "Hey...I'll make a tutorial!"
And here it is!
AS A NOTE: This makeup tutorial does NOT include using liquid latex, which I know some people use when they are applying the scar makeup for Mello. I used makeup exclusively, and my Mello (~BloodyHell13 ) got asked all night if the scar was real.
So.
This method makes it look real and gets the point across just fine.
As a bonus, I threw in a few pictures of us all Matt-and-Mello-ed out. X3
I hope it helps...I tried to put as much info in there as I could in the simplest way possible.

It's pretty traumatic, yeah D: when I was reading the manga, I actually STOPPED reading it at that point. I went for like a year before I picked it up again because one of my friends was like "there's this character I know you're gonna like. You need to keep going." and I did. And it's true. XD

Could you post the make-up products you used? If you still remember them. Because I tried this and it didn't work for me, I'm pretty sure it was just the make-up, though. I'd really appreciate your help. <3

Aw man, really? Yeah, I can give you a mini list (since I still have all the stuff lol).
The eyeshadow that I used for a majority of the scar is really crappy 'The Color Institute' stuff that I got in a giant box set of makeup years ago. It works great, but it's not the highest quality makeup (I've used professional stuff since I made this tutorial, and I actually found that a combination of stage makeup (mainly ben nye) and glamour makeup (like anything you can buy at walmart or target or even sephora) works the best.) This is a combination of stage makeup, regular makeup, and liquid latex (which is kind of awful to get out of your eyebrows, btw. And never use it if you have a latex allergy): Me with CRAZY scar makeup!
The coverup is a CoverGirl coverup stick. It's essentially a liquid foundation compressed into stick form (like lipstick). The eyeliner pencil is also from The Color Institute. And I believe that that powder is CoverGirl, too...but I could be wrong (that's the one thing I actually used completely, so I can't check that.)
I hope this helped a little! If anyone's interested, I was also going to do a tutorial for the scar makeup I linked above. But...yes. lol Anyway, thank you and I hope I was a little bit helpful~!

Thank you very much! Actually, when I do the scar on myself it only ever takes 10 minutes max (but that's if I decide to get really complicated with it or something. Yay liquid latex). It really doesn't take too long though, especially after you get the hang of it :3

omg im in between 10 and 14 (dont wanna give real age) and my friends and i, every friday dress up as the same anime character(not every week but all going as the same). last week we went as Matt and we all looked so much like him, we felt hot. this week we went as Mello and my scar kicked ass! all the kids were like what the hell happened or whats wrong with your face or just stared! i felt like okkkkkkk so i look like a freak but i feel like mello! i also had CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my friend had REAL chocolate and my OTHER friend had a blond wig!!! again we looked HOT!!! well i gtg cuz my bros gotta get ready for the "mother son dance" biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Ok that pic of yourself you have labeled "dork" is amusing and adorable. Anyways like the tutorial, though I'd probably use liquid latex, but could cause I have an ego about using that, my professor said I was the best at using it in the class. XD
