Battle Gear Rex - Crossover fanart metal gear battletech design.

Adapted off an ancient blueprint found within an old Terran nuclear disposal facility deep beneath the Bering Sea, the Rex is a limited production assault platform geared towards long range and stand off engagements for use exclusively with the Comstar 'militia'. The 000 or 'Prime' variant comes equipped with an Emmerich Electronic Solutions Gauss Cannon - a prototype upscaled version of the Gauss Rifle, suited for artillery bombardment at extreme ranges, 'over-the-horizon' sniping as its called from multiple unconfirmed Capellan raids into former Terran Hegemony territories. Other variants come retrofitted with Long Tom Artillery or even Thunderbolt Launchers.

As per its original design philosophy of being self-reliant for its own defense, Rex comes equipped with several punishing direct and indirect fire capabilities.

All of its impressive potential comes at a hefty production price and complicated, often lengthy training package for pilots, seasoned assault-class certified or otherwise. Therefore its rarely seen beyond the borders of Comstar control like the Chaos March.
