My entry for August 11 Second Club competition ([link] ). It ended up on the 9th place out of 166 entries, I think.Amazingly, nobody complained about the clarity of the premise, some people even seemed to be amused by it, so either nobody got the idea, or it is indeed a huge success...
...of , whose suggestions dragged this piece out of the dark abyss of obscurity. Thanks.

i was thinking an old lady in nursing home making a masterpiece out of her food and the guy dismissing it but i thought it wouldn't read right i find 11 second club so difficult to not do the obvious, you did really well though very clear

Your idea seems cute, though, and I know you would make it even more adorable with your animation, it's a shame you didn't animate it, really. Personally, I think that for this competition you should do as much as you can with the entry, and submit even the unfinished piece, maybe it would score higher than you'd expect, and even if not, maybe you would at least get some valuable criticism on what was already done.

Aw man, I just LOVE your animations!
The voices fit your drawings and characters perfectly. It has so much personality and also humor just by watching all of it.
I especially like the part where the grandma shakes her head when she goes "Is this what you thought it would be? I certainly didn't."

To put it bluntly, in words that is, the lip sync is indeed perfect and animation is overall awesome!
One VERY minor thing which makes me feel uncomfortable though is the how the arms support her body at one point, it looks awkward for some reason.
*Re-wathes 10 times, doing all that frame by frame analysing stuff*
Were you trying to get the old woman to sort of lean in closer to the monitor at the "amazing" part? I think that's where it's looking odd to me.

That was actually my favourite part, until you mentioned that and indeed, I can see why it would look awkward, and it does look awkward to me now. I think I originally wanted her to lean on straight arms, you know, like with... enthusiastically... squashed and lifted shoulders... if you know what I mean, but I think it didn't look natural or something else was wrong with that and I changed it wof this version... it was a long time ago, though, and I don't remember, to be honest.
