Personally, I hated them giving Indy a son, to me, a son for a male hero is like they're setting up the original for a replacement. If he had a daughter, like it was originally planned, it'd be more like a legacy and letting the movies series continue to flourish for the next generation. Also, there was too much C.G.I., not enough physical surroundings and effects. I <3 old-school movies!

That didn't bother me, but a few other things in the movie did.

It's like...like...Chuck Norris. Why can Indy survive a nuclear blast by hiding in a fridge? CUZ HE'S INDIANA JONES, NOW DEAL WITH IT.

The Indiana Jones films before it involved itself with the supernatural and the unexplained. This film had nothing to do with the supernatural, just science. That's probably why people are still ranting about it.
When I first saw said scene, I just shrugged it off saying to myself "eh, Indy's had worse", true as illogical as it is, Spielberg and Lucas make these films to suspend reality, but because there wasn't anything supernatural, I guess that's why people nag it so.
That's my thought, I decided to try and help and not seem like one of the people who nagged that one scene.
