dude the blue beetle (2006) comics was golden. I loved it so much. I was like, I saw this mentor guy before. And then it hit me.
How can his ghosts find other meta's?
So much information to go through. For his ghosts. Their is many ways it's shown based on religion but remember we do have legit ghosts like gentlemen ghost or deadman.
So basically is his abilities somewhat like kid eternity?
surprised by your mentor choice tho. honestly i'm surprised you think he would use apprenticeship to draw your oc into joining him. would that mean la dama knows about the kid? Also does that mean he hangs around with Diviner?

YES! OMG I think Jaime is an underappreciated teenage hero, because those comics really packed a punch, both with the story and action, but also his genuine feels. One of my favorite comics, for sure! (I'm surprised you remembered Diviner. He's not really anybody's favorite and he only showed up a handful of times. For some reason he made me smile, though not always in a good way. Plus, I just love a man in a business suit and black nail polish. )
Often times mediums use a form of psychically reading people through spirits. Obviously it's a case-by-case basis, but in general dead people see and perceive deeper meanings, and find secrets through the veil. There's a line in Mothman Prophecies I always think about, likening a skyscraper's window washer to how spiritual entities make predictions: "If there's a car crash, he can probably see it before us. Now that doesn't make him God, or even smarter than we are, but from where he's sitting he can see a little further down the road..." On the Invisible Plane, they 'sit higher', as it were, so they 'see' more than what's on the surface. They don't necessarily lead him to metas, but can tell him when someone nearby has that something extra. After that, he follows and observes to judge how best to recruit the person. (And like Diviner even said in that one issue, if they're another magic user Klax can sense that part, being magically in-tuned himself.)
Oh yeah, ghosts are very different depending on religion, culture, or media. I just go with the bare-bones basic, trying to stay within the "ordinary" ESP realm. If you read my info pages, Klaxon cannot utilize religious forms of Animism; his main "power" is communicating with the dead. I know there's ghost heroes/villains in DC Comics/Vertigo that each have their own unique back-stories and perceptions of spiritual power, and how Klax would interact with each of them would be different—but boiled down they are still guys who died.
Again, bare-bones: yes, Kid Eternity is a vessel, too. He operates on that same supernatural level. Although Kid Eternity was altered to be a demon summoner, and those demons take on the form of historical and famous dead people. Klaxon has the potential to be visited (and toyed with) by demons, but he has no experience in demonology so to vessel one is too dangerous for him, no experience to cast it out. (Quick, call Constantine!)
Well, Diviner oversees Warehouse 13 and trains the magicians/metas, so having an apprentice isn't far-fetched. And remember, Warehouse 13's prime objective is to collect a super-human army for La Dama, another "edge" (dare I say, weapon) to rule the streets and gangs, and Diviner himself has shown a lust for collecting magical objects. He has that slick (or slimy, pending on how you judge him) personality that says he'll do whatever it takes to get what he wants, to impress La Dama.
Of course. La Dama knows all. (I seriously respect that character! She was so amazing!) However, I don't consider Klaxon a major player, so whether or not she remembers his name is another story. XD And naturally, when not doing his job on the streets Klax is at the Warehouse training with the rest, or being his errand boy. I did give him his own story and reason for hanging around Diviner, namely to get inside the circles to find his missing Voodoo Queen grandmother.

pfft, i always remember the guy who pretty much the only other character that shows up with the girl's aunt. I like how his family reacts to him coming out as a superhero after being forgotten at the satellite.
(Constantine can either help you or make it worsen lol tho i love his interactions with Zatanna)
Honestly I wish I could subject your characters to question, but even for me their are topics I can't fully understand. Since I move mostly through logic, and things like spirits are beyond that. Tho I will add that you have gone through your character quite well.
Tho this takes place in the YJ invasion universe right? Then how are you going to have La Dama react to meta's being whisked away by teh reach? Is the whole situation with her side of meta recruiting somewhat compromised before or after the end of invasion?

Haha, yeah, Diviner did have an eye for The Lady—and, to his discredit, an admiring one for her niece as well. That was one of my favorite scenes, too, where Jaime shows his family his alien armor, trying to prove to his Mom that he wasn't on drugs (what a reason!). And her reaction was amazingly real. Poor kid. I also loved when he recounts what happened on the satellite; I literally got choked up, too, that he was so scared and upset that the "real" superheroes left him to die alone.
(See, that's the great part about supernatural heroes. Constantine can make things worse, but often times it's not necessarily his fault. Fighting the Dark Arts isn't quite like fighting the Joker or Luthor. Sometimes best intentions can't thwart that brand of evil. I do think that's a reason he's the "every man for himself" type, all that wicked magic and mayhem. Oh yeah, I've always liked Constantine with Zatanna!)
I suppose that's one of the reasons I'm so fascinated by the supernatural genre: no logic and science, at least not enough. It's like trying to reasonably explain a Stephen King novel, and that's just cool to me to have that sense of unknown, the what if's and no conclusions. Aw, thank you! That means a lot, and I did try to be thorough with Klaxon, although I'm still filling in some blanks as he was created to go along with my friend's OC and we kinda collab on things.
Yeah, I did initially create him for Invasion, and I've been pondering how to go about Warehouse 13 in the YJ timeline. There's just so many ways I could go, and pretty much free reign since the entire concept of the Warehouse went nowhere in the comics. Well, initially there's not much La Dama could do about the disappearing meta's, since I imagine in this timeline Blue Beetle hadn't exposed her secret hideout yet. Probably a lot of observing, as the Reach weren't doing mass abductions; at most, they'd be each others' competition, "who gets to the runaways first" on the sly sorta thing. Like in the comics, however, I do think La Dama would fight against the Reach, not partner with them. After the Invasion is when I'm picturing the Warehouse being compromised, because people would be keeping a new watchful eye on missing persons and newbies with powers. I've also been wanting to explore something with the YJ Runaways (I feel like they'd fit in with the Posse ) and Warehouse 13/Klaxon, and especially after I read Greg Weisman had said Tye was friends with Brenda and Paco, too; obviously he thought about having Jaime's comic friends in YJ.

IKR, such a fun read~ at least he wasn't alone. Khaji Da was there for him. xD
AH~ well a character can't ever never stop being developed so that's good.
True, Well also depends on what you think about the runaways since they pretty much separated after invasion. tho that would mean tye and the girl would be targeted by klaxon?
And by timeline for YJ, Reach invasion already happened, so I don't know how peacemaker could fall into it. Since his scarab would have activated then. tho at that point i guess creative liberties would be made.

That's true. Although I do think at the time Jaime was still confused about what the Scarab was, and it was a big reason he was in that situation, thinking he was about to die. Poor kid. (I did love how Khaji Da adopted its own identity, though! That was epic and made me really look at the tech as its own character.)
Sadly, yeah, there's not really any room to introduce Peacemaker into YJ. Although I, like a few other fans, considered the possibility that what we saw of Blue Beetle in Bart's time was not Jaime, but Peacemaker, since the Beetle was BUFFED and the comics had Peacemaker getting a Scarab and turning into a sort of antagonist.
That's what it seems Greg Weisman intended, giving the other Runaways "happy endings" and saying they refused to join the Team. I get the impression they would not have returned to S3, and if they did it would have only been a cameo. Otherwise why give them such [unspoken] closure? But with creative liberties in fan-verse, I do think the Runaways keep in touch (that's what social media is for ) but it would take a personal attack and major event to make the kids come together again as meta-heroes, since the three didn't want anything to do with superheroes and aliens after Invasion. I did have this headcanon that Maurice tries to make a quick buck by selling out Tye and Sam to the Warehouse (namely Klaxon) so there's that possibility to bring Blue Beetle, and thus Static, into it, and then Eduardo from Taos, NM, too.

Dude i loved that part too, especially when the reach thought they won, and Jaime was like nope. Tho Guy's introduction in it was just as fun. I was happy to see they included him as the green lantern that fought Jaime.
hm that is an interesting idea. I've never really thought of that.
I also believe that they would probably only have extreme minor roles if they did show up in the next season.
Ah. Yeah they would probably be besties through the internet. Honestly speaking I would think it wouldn't be just blue beetle and static but the whole YJ team (or at least the ones that aren't busy) would come and help. In short if that did happen, it would be chaotic.

indeed. Tho i have read the most recent blue beetle after reboot. Idk i'm too blinded by its past beauty to be able to fully enjoy new 52.
Well thats true i forgot, If the warehouse was found out int eh comics, people like superman would probably be all over it and his extreme justice. Well in the end following some sort of pattern, they would probably strike some sort of deal anyway.
