Supposed to be a book entry but didn't make it on time ; u ; ) It really breaks my heart because I really want to be part of it at least once.. But I have very limited time ,end up to work slowly and internet is so tsun that it won't let me upload early..Maybe it's not the right time for me to join....Anyways, this art was inspired by one of my favorite artist lalalalack . I want to improve more so critiques are really appreciated ! Thank you very much !!

As a book cover this looks amazing, it's eye catching and adorable, the title fits quite well with it too.
Particularly I appreciate the coloring style and colors, the contrast of dark clothes and background bring out the strawberry blond shades of hair as well as the starking white of the owls. I also like the lightening of the lines here and there which gives the feeling of pencils and erasers, sort of like a typewriter effect when writing.
I would only work on the folds and weight provoked on the arms/hands, since she's with her hands up they seem too heavy up when they should weight down more closer to her elbow. Also as you softened the lines in the trees behind her, perhaps it would have been better to soften the color or pale it a little on the owls standing behind her as well.

As an artwork itself, it stands out! I can tell that you've put in a lot of time and effort into it. It's very detailed from the what brush you used with, lighting and shading. I'm certain rearranging where the owls will sit took time too. I especially like your colour of choice too! It's breathtaking and makes me feel like every subject is unique in its own right. Something like the girl’s fringe shaded colours, is something small that I really appreciate.
I am a tad (yes) bias, but there's no doubt that this artwork is amazing! Keep on doing what you love!

Aaaah this is absolutely precious! All the owls are super adorable and the character herself is cute too~ it is a shame you didn't make it in time for the book but it makes a wonderful illustration all on its own!
