Description
This is a detail from a pic I'd done about 6 years ago. I did something I almost never do: went back and re-worked a lot of this to fix the face, hair, textures, colors, etc. since my work from 6 years ago really sucks. Heh. I dug this out because I wanted to make some bookmarks for Anime Expo (hence the ridiculously narrow canvas shape on this).Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think she resembles some World of Warcraft characters? Or maybe a meld of them? I've never played World of Warcraft, but my little sister is really into it, and from the few times I've watched her play, it seems like some of them look like this? I'm not sure. If she does look like one of the characters, the resemblance was unintentional.
Done on Photoshop as usual. The re-working took about 20 minutes. I have no idea how much time this originally took.

For some strange reason I was reminded of Gaara from Naruto series. XD;; He wears sashes and has short red hair with black lined eyes (cuz he never sleeps due to having a demon inside him that takes over whenever he sleeps).
Anyhoo, very lovely designs as usual! ^o^ I like the red sashes and her wraps clothing. Very cool.

Wow!! I love this~I think I know why some might say she resembles wow characters, but omg.. no, just no. WoW does not have the license on eye/face paint/tattoo things and stylistic eyebrows... I had to look twice to try to figure out why you said that actually, so I think shes far from WoW, which hey, I play it but I think the characters for it are fugly. This isn't.
She's definitely deeply fantasy, those earrings and her face are kickass. Very cool.. if I saw it I'd definitely pick it up from a table. Nice rework btw :3, 20 mins? Would love to see the original.

Thanks, Kimaya. I wasn't sure, since I haven't seen WoW very often. I just had vague memories of the characters. And yeah, my little sister is the video game fiend of the family.
Heh. Vast majority of that 20 minutes was spent on her face. It was really bad before. My shading from 6 years ago was just awful. Like atrociously, horrifically awful. ^_^
Did just minor tweaking on the rest of her, and I added the bit of blurred, tattered silk in the foreground.
