Description Song: Even though Lee Ann Womack is Pinky's singer, I think this song fits Georgia's story very well: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PAEQv…

Now here's a picture I've had in my mind for a long time! Tonight in a '5-hour energy drink' fueled speed high I finally managed to get it it out on paper.

Now the characters of Georgia and Bobbeh' Lee are interesting in the fact that stalking the comments of their pictures will show lots of discussion and development that I haven't really officially released, mostly between ~warriorcatroseeyes and I.

I've talked about the importance of Bobby Lee to Georgia, beyond being a mode of transportation, with people in comments but never made a broad example till now. You see, to Georgia and her drifter-self.. Bobby wasn't just a car, he was her home. Lots of time on the road by herself, little money to spend on Motel rooms lead to many nights sleeping in the car.

Over the years as she collected stuff along her trip, trinkets from road-side venders, cheap living supplies from second-hand stores and such.. Bobby Lee's interior naturally starting becoming home'er and home'er and lived-in. He literally turned into an incredibly small mobile home.

------------

Drawing this was quite interesting, mostly everything came out exactly as I'd pictured it in my mind, even down to the odd almost fish-eye lens looking angle.

I actually went into the fine-detailing blindly. I knew what Bobby Lee's dashboard and front seats looked like form the movie (lucky for me he's the only car we see the interior of 26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lc5… ) but I had to do a search just tonight of what a Superbird's backseat looked like. So really, everything you see placed around the back there was placed on the spot with no prior planning.. I really had to BECOME Georgia in the process of drawing this.. thinking about what she'd need and where it could fit.

The make-shift blinds were something I'd had planned from the very beginning. I was guessing there were times she'd have to sleep during the day, and everyone knows how bright car interiors are during the day with all those windows.. plus you wouldn't want some perverts walking by and looking in the windows at you. XD So by getting some 99 cent screw-in hooks and loops, some cord , and some small cloths a nice little certain system was made.

I'm assuming the more permanent stuff like the alarm-clock radio had to be manually velcrowed to the service so they wouldn't fly off and slide around while she was driving. Another detail about the alarm clock, since there aren't any plug-ins in the car it has to be run off batteries hence the back-up Duracells up there next to it This would probably only really be needed if Georgia happened to have a temp-job or other employment to get to that morning.

I'll stop before this gets too long and just let you guys find and examine the other things on your own.. happy hunting. I'm happy to answer any questions as always too.

What happened to Georia after Bobby Lee was wrecked? Did she die in the accident?

That's a good question, I'm actually still working on her story, I've been focusing so much on Violet that I haven't had time to flush out Georgia's story yet.

I'd actually thrown around the idea of some model photographer from Vegas catching a glimpse of her sunbathing on Bobby-Lee's hood and offers her a job. Then it's on the journey to Vegas that Bobby-Lee's engine goes out. : (

I've played the game yeah..

I actually thought that's what you were talking about. I wasn't referencing Black-Ops with that, it's just kind of a common Vietnam Era symbol.. I thought it kinda fit the theme and era of Bobby and Georgia.. 1969-1970 .. CCR music.. Psychedelic head-bands? XD

Wow, AMAZING shot, you captured the fisheye effect perfectly! It's great seeing a bit of her life inside Bobbeh Lee -- especially with all your lovely detailing~

I like all the maps she has there -- I bet it's hell finding anything in Lee's glovebox XD

And on the curtain topic, I'm sure she dresses in there too -- and dressing privately in a car is a challenge worthy of the gladiators XD

Half-dude In reply to warriorcatroseeyes [2011-11-18 23:45:19 +0000 UTC]

Well I don't know about 'perfectly' But I did what I had to do to show everything. His interior honestly is probably wider then it looks there.

Yeah the maps almost kinda tell their own story don't they? -- Oh god yeah, well between the maps and all the 8-track cassettes in there. XD

O//O ooh.. well there's another reason for the curtains, nothing much she can do about the windshield though. XP I can just imagine her barely clothed and then someone walks in front of Bobby and she has to duck behind the front seat trying to cover herself. Sounds hot.. X//P Alright I'll admit it! I think Georgia's actually pretty hot. I hadn't planned it but she just came out that way..like Zeep.

I'd say perfectly ;D
Oh good, I was afraid Georgia would be pretty cramped and stuck in the backseat there XD

God help any cop that pulls her over in the hot, hot sun and has to wait for her to find her registration XD

Luckily the front seats potentially offer a bit of protection XD Haha, lucky be the man that accidentally strolls in front of Bobby XD
We think she's hot too bro ;D

Half-dude In reply to warriorcatroseeyes [2011-11-20 03:26:40 +0000 UTC]

aww.. <://) shucks..
I THINK 70s cars were still pretty big like the 50s land yacht.. well I mean.. not ALL of them. That's kinda what settles the big debate over Bobby Lee for me.. weather or not he's a Superbird or a Stingray. I mean he looks pretty huge, and the stingray is a tiny little thing. [link] [link] It's really tempting though.. to say he's a Stingray, since it has those little vents on the sides, the chrome bumper and the big tires.. : /

If I make the comic I'm planning to make after Pinky's story is done, where I tell the story of how Georgia became a drifter and bought Bobby.. I'm gonna explain that he's a heavily modified Superbird made to look more like a stingray. (even though it doesn't make much sense since a Superbird was more expensive then a stingray. XD

There I go rambling again..

Haha, maybe that's how she gets out of traffic tickets when she's speeding down the roads. XD Just makes sure to wear a nice low-cropped shirt on a hot sweaty day. X3

Bobby: *looks at random guy* -_O alright.. keep movin' buddy.. >_>

You do?! ://D Then good it's not just me. X3

warriorcatroseeyes In reply to Half-dude [2011-11-21 03:51:56 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm... honestly, I see where people think he's a Stingray, but I can't accept it. Like you said, Stingrays are too tiny, and they're a bit more shapely than the Superbird
They sure are fancy cars though.

YOU HAD ME AT 'COMIC'. *cling* I can't wait X3

Aw bro, you know better than to worry about rambling with me X3

Hah! I bet -- god knows she can't afford tickets, so she does all she can to avoid them XD

I imagine the horn 'accidentally' going off and scaring the bejeebers out of some creepers XD

She's awesome, she's badass, and attractive -- I just love her X3 And she's got the best sidekick ever.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Half-dude In reply to warriorcatroseeyes [2011-11-26 23:27:58 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I can see where people are thinking too.. their number one argument is his lack of the signature tail 'wing.' Of course I justify it that he lost it when his rear got all smashed in. 9.9

Yeah and in the movie he didn't look all that shapely, most of his shape came from his dented rear and open hood and trunk doors I think.. oh and those crazy broken tires..

Oh yes, comic.. those dreaded comics.. o.o; hope I can handle drawing comics again..

Haha, yeah just goes to get her registration papers from the glove box as slowly and sexily as she can? XD Making sure to show off some cleavage in the process..

Gotta scare those creepers.. I wonder what Bobby's horn sounds like..

Those ARE a lot of things to appreciate in a woman.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

warriorcatroseeyes In reply to Half-dude [2011-11-28 03:09:08 +0000 UTC]

Being that you want to make it that he was rigged to look like a Superbird, it can solve most arguments because any part of his appearance could have been lost or changed or kept during the change.

Comics are hard
A show like that is worth enough to pay for any ticket XD

Something loud and obnoxious? Default? I wonder if there's any videos showing a Superbird honking its horn... Or maybe it's a big honking boat-like horn? XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Half-dude In reply to warriorcatroseeyes [2011-12-02 05:16:11 +0000 UTC]

Well he was a Superbird meant to be stylized like a Stingray. ^^ But yeah exactly.. modifications..

Hard as a stiff turd.. o.o

I might make a pervy'ish Georgia pic if you wanna suggest something. XD

Well I'm surprised, I actually did find a video with his horn. Instead of a Superbird it's a RoadRunner (but they're practically identical.. in fact you could call him either) funny enough.. he sounds like the roadrunner..cute. XD [link]

Also check this out! Isn't that a sexy rumble? :3 You even see it spit some gunk out of it's tailpipe from sitting all winter. XDD [link]

I WOULD SO TOTALLY SUGGEST SOMETHING.
How's about a candid picture of her dressing in Bobby Lee? A scene like this: [link] ? XD

Awwww~ I love it C: I wonder what Pinky sounds like now XD

Nah it's all good, car names are tricky.. hell I'm surprised how expert I've gotten so fast.. never thought I'd know as much about cars as I do now. XD

Not as stinky though.

Ah so like a panel by panel thing. GAHH! Damn it Warrior, I don't know what's wrong with me! I'm like afraid or something to do pervy stuff with these characters. I don't know what it is, maybe I respect them more because they're like 100% mine and not just fan-characters? I'm afraid of destroying their integrity as serious characters or something. o.o; It sucks though because like I said I do find Georgia pretty hot, but I hate to joke around with her character like that.. maybe I'd have to only show it to you if I draw it or something.

Hell.. adult Violet is kinda cute too, admittedly (I said adult! Not a pedo here!) A picture of her in like.. little short shorts and a tied up shirt showing off her belly while she washes Pinky would be pretty hot. XD Even better if Pinky had a flirty face on her too. XDD But AGAIN, these are supposed to be serious characters in a dramatic story.. I don't wanna ruin them you know? : /

Well you did it, you got me searching Pinky now. XD

Found this, the car is the 56' not the 55' but the car looks pretty much the same as the 55' just different looking front end and interior. I believe the horn is probably the same on both, it'd be a trival thing to change I'd think. X) [link]

I also found this with a 55' like Pinky, but black and white instead of pink. This one has a special beefy engine so I doubt Pinky sounded that throaty. XD But it is kinda cool to watch. I kinda feel like that's how it looked back in the days when Violet was driving Pinky to school and the like.

[link]

Yeah that IS a really nice purr, I agree with you! : 3 <3

Panel by panel? That wasn't my original intent but that would be really cool now that you bring it up! X3
Heh, hey man, I understand how that feels C:> If you don't feel comfortable fanservicing your characters, I wouldn't make you do it! But if you do have a vague desire to do so, maybe it'd help if you put the art on furaffinity or under a strict mature censor on dA?
I have a similar problem with my characters (with Anshi usually) -- I'm afraid of changing the image people have of him <:T He's supposed to be the fun, funny, bitchy little genie, but in his story, he ends up a pretty messed up fellow and has done some despicable things. I want to write his story one day but I'm seriously considering cutting all that out.

Aww, it suits her X3
Me gusta that black and white one!

Also, a whole pizza? I know I couldn't. My limit is three slices these days..

Btw, this is the 1400th deviation cataloged under "Brave Little Toaster", just thought I'd point that out. If anyone should hit landmark numbers here it should be you, sir. ;Þ

I didn't bother saying in the AC, but yeah they technically would probably.. probably hurt a little when she put those in too. But he's a tough car, probably took it well.

Who knows how old that pizza is though..

How'd you find that out? XD 1400th seems pretty low ranking.. sounds like I'm not making that much of impact.

Incredible!!!! Every bit of detail caught my eyes within seconds. You really did a kickass job!!!

I can relate to Georgia, due to one time having to sleep alongside my step mom in my dad's Subaru Outback while he was hospitalized in Philly. It was a new experience, but I managed to sleep quite peacefully despite being in the parking lot of a 24hr Hess station in a rather seedy part of town.

It definitely shows how tight their relationship is. Transportation, mobile home, and also safe place. I'm sure Bobby Lee is more than happy housing this lady

Great work, man!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Half-dude In reply to Gia-Chan [2011-11-18 08:17:23 +0000 UTC]

Wow no joke? Sorry.. I'm just surprised to get such an excited response to this! It was a lot of work but admittedly it doesn't really look like it in the finished product, at least to me anyway.

Did you have to curl up into a ball when you slept in your Outback? That's what I had to do when I tried sleeping in Lilly.. didn't take long for my back to start feeling really sore though. X3 I don't think Georgia would have that problem though.. I think those 70s cars were still pretty big like those 50s cars.. wide enough accommodate someone (at least a female) laying all the way straight.

Your last sentence there really makes me wanna actually make that comic I've had in mind, showing how Georgia came to own Bobbeh.. and the starting of her 'drifter-hood.' But yeah, he's pretty fond of her, they both share the same love for travel.

Thank you.

You're quite welcome. You have such great work!! I'd be surprised if I got a comment of such excitement :3

As for the Outback, nope! My Stepmom and I both slept in the front seats, reclined most [if not all] of the way. We had blankets [for some reason they were already in the car] and were comfy throughout the night....well, I was...my stepmom might not have been...

I'd like to see that comic!! I'm glad I helped persuade you to do so!!

Keep on kicking ass!!!

Well I'm humbled that you consider even my B/W stuff great, thank you very much. Would you? ^^ I'll have to give you one then..

Well if the seats to ALL the way back then I could see how that could be comfortable. Usually they don't seem to go all the way so you can't really lay on your side or your stomach at all.

You would? Wow cool. : D At the very least I could write the story..

I shall continue to kick butt-cheeks raw..

Gia-Chan In reply to Half-dude [2011-11-19 15:51:04 +0000 UTC]

Honestly, give me a pillow and I can sleep anywhere. I got stuck at Six Flags and the Suburban wouldn't start. So, since the tow truck had one seat, my dad rode with the tow guy, while my stepmom, cousin and i rode in the suburban [on the flatbed teehee illegal]. My cousin slept on the door handle in the back and I had her butt as a cushion

Written story or comic, it's all good.

Ah, the poor poor blender. I loved how dark they made it with the motor oil spilled on the floor like blood from a fresh kill. <3 This is a very dark movie and maybe it wasn't intended for kids Also, I'm a bit sad the Oven won't be there, it's okay. You still have the one fan, that psychotic lamp and that tape recorder [so suggestive xD ]

Yeah I feel really bad for that blender too, that was probably one of the worse deaths in the movie. Unlike the cars in Worthless who just didn't care anymore.. that poor blender was visibly horrified and trying to hide! As unrelated as it is, the whole scene kinda reminds me of the cartoon shoe that gets "dipped" in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

The director in the interview stated he was never making a kids movie. He was making an animated movie, but that didn't mean it was for kids. He had to keep telling people who working on the movie that very thing for various reasons.

Oh yes, Ms. Twirly Tits. XD
