This thing proves to be virtually indestructible, escaping containment numerous times.
My depiction of 682 shows it regenerating from hydrochloric acid submersion; a key component to it's containment.

They did using several methods. Thing regenerates and adapts to everything. One method used was a laser cutting it in two. The halves then continued acting independently and "adopted a mirrored flesh". So there's that.
