Aya comes with the M-1 "Marauder" Marksman Tank right into the scene and Commander Skyline gets shocked by it's size. The girls are ready for moving and capturing Kanade, but it seems Izumi is kinda distracted enjoying the company of some soldiers who are talking with her.

I know, but I usually think of 'giants' as a class instead of referring to the male side of the population. Take for example the words 'man/men'. They could refer to just male humans or to humans in general when used in the right context.
