Studio shot from the other day. Glenna's feet. Don't you just love ballet?I think my editing is a little sloppy...but I just can't see it yet. Thus, if I notice anything, I shall edit and make everything all better.

it looks like an action shot, or was intended to be. the leg that is not pointed, looks off. i take pointe, and that's not exactly a good position of the foot. i wonder what the shot would have looked like if she had gone all the way up on her toes, unless this was completely the way you wanted the photo.

I agree completely. I take pointe too, and it seems she has flexible arches, just the positioning of that foot looks off. Like she fell or rolled off of her box.

her back foot isnt pointed enough which is just distracting and the legs are just too dark. i dont want to sound harsh just think i could be improved. but ballet is my life so im gunna be picky

Was she sitting on something? (Being a pointe dancer myself, I'm looking at a few parts of the picture and worrying.)
In any case, I love the color in contrast with the b&w of the legs.

Wow, this is stunning. I love how you made the legs black and white but kept the color of the ballet shoes. This is a great effect and I've only used it once, but it's amazing. This is beautiful. The shoes pop off of the page which is just amazing and the legs and blank background sort of fade out which is good. It gives the shoes full attention. Great job!

There is a string that is out of the shoe. you could trip over it, and never walk again! You should show the correct way to tie the shoe if you are going to do a pic of it. and the other foot is not turned back out. That is my feedback

The pointe shoe further back is not broken in really, and it kind of withdraws from the shot, but all in all, fine pic.

i love this picture. its delicacy, fragility, the arch (beautiful!) and the contrast between the grayscale and the golden color of the pointe ballet shoes is eyecatching. it feels as if it was gonna move at any moment you just can't take your eyes off the picture!
i'm a ballet lover. some of my deviations are related to ballet because it is one of my frustrations. i took ballet lessons and i had to quit because we moved to another town and then i just lost interest and had no friends to go to class with. that's why there are a lot of tutus and pointe shoes in my gallery

thats beautiful i just wish the foot furthest right was pulled up more and more on top en pointe - because all thought its a beautiful shot the 2nd foot could look even more beautiful =] lovely tho x
