Description Athens and Sparta Adventures
CHAPTER TWO: THE BATTLE OF MARATHON

THE BATTLE BEGINS! Dun dun duuuuun.
Ignore my terrible rendering of a giant army please.
Those Scythians and their hats. I love them. >:3

Supposedly Miltiades simply said "At them." and the Athenians ran the mile across the plains between the two armies shouting their battle cry of "Eleleu! Eleleu!"
...Of course, it's unlikely they ran that whole distance because of that heavy armour. They probably kept a steady march until they were within light jogging range.

IDK, it's a common fashion for military generals. Thucydides, Pericles...
Although Pericles wore his because otherwise people would call him onion head. ;w;

IT'S TRUE apparently his head was shaped like an onion and so the playwrights of the time totally abused that when they found out XDDD.
