CHAPTER TWO: BATTLE OF MARATHON

Gotta submit this quick so I can go watch some Doctor Who. >:3

This is probably the most panels on any one page of the comic so far. Not bad for something I scripted last minute to fit between the last couple of pages.
I was afraid of drawing battle scenes (lots going on and stuff) and even though it's sort of half assed I'm glad I did.

It's true, Persia brought a crapload of marble so he could build a statue for himself after he defeated those insolent Greeks on their own turf.

The Persian army was vast and varied, but the Greeks actually had superior armour and tactics which was probably what kept them alive so long. XD They were also better suited to hand-to-hand combat while the Persians preferred to use long-range weapons like arrows.

As usual, Athens has a gorgon on his shield. He's such a troll. >:3

Oh, and the Greeks really did think the Persians were girly for wearing pants. Just goes to show you how gender rules vary over time and space, eh?
If you're wondering why he never noticed it before, the Persians wear longer robes over their pants than their neighbours.

Which brings me to my next point: who is that Persia's talking to there, do you think? X3
