The grey clouds boiled and churned, a potion brewing in a giant witch's cauldron, threatening at any minute to rip open and release the rain trapped within its swirling depths. Howling like a rabid wolf, the wind tore down the canyon, tearing at the rocky sides with its claws. Hoof-beats echoed on the hard ground as the stallion strode fearlessly between the cliffs. The first spots of rain began to speckle his glossy bay coat as his emerald eyes roved the surroundings. The stories said that a massive stallion inhabited these parts, the son of a demon, graced with immense strength and extended years. Most stayed away, but no stallion, demonic or no, intimidated Feral.

A trumpeting call came from an outcrop. Shaking his forelock out of his eyes, causing the pair of golden hoops in his ear to jangle, Feral turned his head, having to squint slightly through the increasing rain. At the top of the rise, the largest stallion he'd ever seen repeated his cry, rearing up and pumping the air with heavily feather forelegs. He cut an impressive figure against the gathering gloom, the swirling gold markings that climbed up his quarters and around his legs gleaming against his dark chocolate coat. The wind swept back his pale mane, whipping out the curling ends like pennants. Fiery orange eyes blazed at Feral, searing straight to the centre of his soul like the brand that had marked his face. The rain was starting to pour now, splitting the darkening sky.
"Who dares enter my territory?" The stallion's deep, thundering voice rang with the mists of Ireland.

I don't think I have ever worked so hard on a background before . I'm still not entirely happy with the rocks, especially the ones at the front, but I just couldn't get them looking any better .

This is when Feral and Calibre first meet, but Feral manages to charm himself out of any danger. They have quite a history between them, getting into lots of scrapes and travelling around the world. While Calibre is a very honourable stallion, Feral is quite loose-moralled, not abject to stealing, lying and cheating, which Calibre couldn't ever agree with. After Genevieve was born, Calibre decided he didn't want his daughter around a character like Feral with his negetive influences, so the two parted ways.
