Description
There was my friend Terry waiting for me to return to the booth.
A moment in time that photography captures so well. It must have been in the late 1960s, in Dayton, Ohio, were I would often hang out. In these times I was irresponsible, but that was my job. I took it seriously, that is I carried a camera, most everywhere.
I chose this moment as he turned his attention to me, even though he was being attended to by a waitress. The sea of empty booths gave it a feeling of isolation within society. In the booth I was shooting over was a woman, who chose to ignore me, if she noticed me at all. It was only a moment.
Taken with a Zeiss Contarex on Kodak Tri X 135mm panchromatic film.

That is a jukebox selector in the right edge, one in every booth. Another image waiting half a century to be seen.
