Description
In the 1970s delicatessens and pony kegs were the neighborhood shopping stores. You could buy something to eat or the necessary items for the home, without having to go to the malls, supermarkets, or the big box stores. I tried to convey how narrow the aisle was and how tightly the merchandise was placed in every available nook and cranny.This man is purchasing an item from a vending display. I especially like the light glow coming from the open doorway.
Taken with my Leica M2 with 50mm F2.0 Summicron, on Kodak Plus-X panchromatic film.

took a quick look on ebay and found literally hundreds of rolls of 35mm Plus-X dated 2008 and 2009. I have found black and white film good up to 25 years out of date, so you can find some, unless you prefer Ilford FP4.

Ill give it a try (maybe also for TMAX 3200 - another fave of mine that sadly disappeared). In the past though I had some very bad experiences with expired film (ie, from a few years ago...not even 25 years), including black and white.

The light makes an already slender guy look quite thin! But it is a cool effect!

Great photo, and yes the glow does bring out the image of the man even more so. I like the cigarette hanging from the mouth. An image you will not see in a store nowadays.
