Description
To give continuity to my magazine story I took additional images of the Appalachian town's many residents as I traveled through south-east Ohio.

Hats were used to identify life styles, the same message t-shirts do today. The Allis Chalmers company made farm tractors.

I took two images of this man, who seemed to like my attention, for whatever reason he thought my photographs would be used. I liked him, as it was easy to feel comfortable around him.

Taken with my Zeiss Contarex with an 85mm F2.0 Sonnar, on Ilford FP4 135mm panchromatic film, about 1969.
