Surprisingly I have had requests from my offer to share the photo taken, when I offered the hitchhikers the camera to document me, as I had done to them. Fair is fair.

To place the shot realistically, I had one of the two in the background and kept enough highway visible to set the photo where the action occurred, on Interstate 75, in Ohio, USA.

I'm the short one who looks hispanic or turkish, depending on what side of the ocean you live. My 1958 microbus camper complete with bed and curtains carried me over much of the United States of America. I felt like Ian, the travel guide from Lonely Planet series, on BBC, who documents his travels as he goes, on the cheap, just him and the film crew staying with locals or hostel type boarding.

Taken in the early 1970s with my Leica M2 with 50mm F2.0 Summicron on Kodak Tri-X panchromatic film.

Feel free to download, just give my credit to the hitchhiker. As always when you lend someone the camera, they will invariable place your head in the middle of the frame. I recroped what I could to correct this.
