As an interesting side note. Back in this time period, these homes were considered undesirable and were valued in the 5,000 to 30,000 dollar world. Now that the neighborhood has changed to gentry and desired for the great city views, the values have gone to 200,000 to a million dollars, sometimes just for a shell of a house to be redone.

Looks just like pictures of my mom from that time. She was as stylish as these women. Nice sample of that time period; from what my parents tell me it was an exciting time.

Wow! I knew that it was the late sixties/early seventies from the styles in this photo before I even clicked on the thumbnail! It's funny because they look more surprised than hostile to see you in their neighborhood. I lived outside of Cincinnati in 1967-1968 but I was a toddler. My father worked in the city and told me a story of how he accompanied a coworker home to his neighborhood which was similar to this one for a party. This was before the riots and there was social unrest about race in this country and Vietnam, but it was still simmering under the surface and hadn't boiled over. Thanks for sharing this very interesting photo and sorry for my long ramble! Congratulations on your DD!

I adore the girl on the left, posing like a little Napoleon. She reminds me of, (well, I'm dating myself here) Dee from What's Happening. 'Ooohh I'm gonna tell mama!!' I think their caught-in-the-act expressions are great.

I know what you mean. To me she is Al Bundy from Married with children. I toyed with removing her from the photo, but as she was part of the group I kept her in, what with me being a documentarist.
