Description
Part of my Sycamore Street Hill series taken in 1969. I will be posting a few more, which you can view by watching me, or go to my gallery under this series.
I took three different images of this man, one offering me a cigarette, one tough and this emotional portrait, which I chose.
I have mixed feelings about publishing this man's image, as I didn't want to take advantage of this close introspection into his life, yet that is the reason the portrait works, as it does go below the obvious layer into his experiences, which show in his eyes and relaxed facial muscles. The picture was not meant to be offensive, yet some could say it is, but it was selected as it truly shows some of his character and how life has treated him. It was damn nice of him to allow me to take this picture and I hope my respect shows.
Taken with a Nikon F with a 50mm F2.0 Nikkor on Kodak Plus X film, in the inner city of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
Feel free to download, just give me photo credit, and him respect.
