Kurama line art (again) sorry I am not good with coming up with exciting titles..
anyway. here's kurama. I like seeing him in normal clothes. don't get me wrong, he looks awesome in traditional clothes. but come on -- look at those legs!
sorry i'm not the best liner..

Just an update on the project--I've got your lines about halfway cleaned up now. I'm working on your signature at the moment.
When I get the lines both on Shuichi himself and the negative space clean, I'm gonna start the fun stuff, the background, and then the overlay and final color of your lines.
I may even do two versions, the portrait version you drew in your lines, and a wide version for a wallpaper ^^
I do have one question thoug--in the rp this version I'm coloring is based from, my character gives him an amulet with the wiccan goddess smbol on it. You don't mind if I throw that in on your lines too, do you?

Updte time: Small development, but one step closer to the good stuff. Got the entire negative space cleaned up, and the outlines crisp as possible. even managed to tidy up the space around your signature too. Now I get to work on the much yummier but more chalenging internl lines. Will let you know when it's finally all squeaky clean.
Ifyou want I can even upload it as a paint friendly version, or email it to you so you can upload it it--since after all it is your work, after all

you know, i'm not sure! i know some people that have used paint on it. but if you were to use like "the paint bucket" option, idk how that would go. give it a shot, i suppose! i've never used paint on any line arts, so good luck, i suppose.

my idea, for you to wonder on, is coloring based on an RP I have, takes place after the series, when Shuichi heads out to college. He ends up in an Egyptian university, where he ends up meeting a rather surprising female. I'm gonna put your lineart, after I get it cleaned up (about halfway done) in a streetside market in cairo. ^^ something very different for our favorite foxy boy, no?

hehe....the desert is a thieves' paradise. we all know that. and after all the ogre called Youko "King of thieves" when he changed during the fight with creepy homo vampire wanna be Karasu (took a sexy screencap from that fight the other day: [link] )
I just think it suits him oh so much better than even his original context.

=} actually, the Dark Tournament is definitely my favorite segment of the entire series, and my favorite part of the Dark Tournament is Karasu's fight with Kurama. LOVE IT.

hehe. I've seen little more outside a few dark tournament eps--still watching the series--and I love both Youko appearances, at least that i've seen. The fight with karasu has some of the sexiest footage of Youko, I think.
Question, I've seen the clips of youko bound in what looked like an energy cage, touch the side and get burned, then lick his finger. any idea which episode that's from?

ooohh... I know this image... the first one that comes to mind is during the Dark Tournament and he's first transformed into youko-- the guy he's fighting lies to him and says he's forced into the tournament. it's a fight of lashing weapons, and the guy has a fishing rod. that could be it.

hmmmm I thought the first appearance of him was against yuriyurishima (what a mouthful @_@), and he opened that box that expelled a bunch of fog and recessed him back much, much furthar than the unfortunate lesser would have ever imagined?

that's the fight i'm talking about! he used the fishing rod to create a ...cage almost around the stage, so the fog from the box would stay within the cage, thus kurama would have to breath it and age backwards.

I have that episode--however, I think we're talking about two different incidents. The one I'm thinking of has youko trapped inside a sphere of yellow energy that looks like a net--with nothing but blackness behind it. He reaches out to the edge and touches it, but it flashes and burns him, and he licks his burnt fingers. I can hunt up a screenshot. I think I may have a video somewhere with the clip in it

yep! thats it! yeah, sensui wasn't as cool as toguro (in my opinion, toguro actually was a really interesting and deep character) but sensuiXyusuke fight goes on for like, 6 episodes. seriously.
but yeah, that episode there-- the revenge one--is one of my favs!

yyh is the only show where i can really sey the english is FAR superior to the japanese.

I love youko's voice in the english dub--makes me melt every time i hear it. but sonce only one actor's listed for him in the english dub, it makes me think that it's the same guy doing both shuici and youko. if so, then he's very talented @.@

it is the same man. john burgmeier. he's my favorite voice actor.

he's brilliant ^^ the ideal choice for kurama, in both forms <3 But like I said, I like youko's voice the best of the two. Shuichi's voice is nice and sweet and reassurig, calming, and makes you want to listen, but youko's is husy and seductive and practically screams 'kiss me.' That voice of youko's demands attention
