Hakoda frowned at the silvery round in his hands. "You say she is blind?"

"Yeah."

"Good, good," Hakoda murmured, tossing the lumpy thing back at Sokka.

Katara frowned, crinkling her nose. "Uh, Sokka...You know that Toph is BLIND, right?"

"Yeah, I know!" Sokka said, continuing to rub seaweed juice into the grain paper. "But I want to do this PROPERLY!"

Katara decided not to remind Sokka that giving the girl a bunch of snowlilies wrapped in seaweed-green paper with the betrothal necklace wasn't exactly proper.

Aang frowned, considering. "I don't know, Sokka...I didn't give Katara any food when I proposed, and that went pretty well..."

"Well, that's you!" cried Sokka, exasperated. "However, me and Toph are both very big meat eaters. So tell me--seal jerky, or snowcow steak?"

"I don't suppose you would consider a nice vegetable soup or some dessert?" asked Aang hopefully.

Sokka slapped his forehead.

Toph frowned. She could head Sokka panting excitedly and shuffling back and forth in the snow, but other than that, she had no idea what was going on.

"I don't suppose you're planning to tell me what we're doing here?" she asked dryly.

Sokka's face fell.

All things considered, Aang's proposal to Katara went a lot more smoothly.

I'm not really sure what's going on with the background either. I couldn't be pooped to make it actually look decent. xD

So, I'm taking part in Tokka Week! Kind of. I was sick Friday, Saturday and Sunday so I'm kind of behind on this sort of thing. And somehow I don't think I'll be ficcing much. That little slew up there can be my fic for Betrothal ohkay?? 8D

Anyway, Sokka's been forgetting Toph is blind since he was born. You know this would happen. Well, maybe.

I have WCS sketched out and Weather all planned, so they should be up soon too.

Toph and Sokka belong to Bryke.
