Description I have been completely in my mystery and spy mood lately. I recently watched Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Which is an amazing adaptation of John LeCarre's book of the same name with the outstanding Sir Alec Guiness. If you like cold war spy stories this is one of the best, but you have to like british tv and books for sure.

So I got into my Smiley kick and had an idea for a piece and at the same time could dangle my digital skills for a walk again. All of the design is of my creation. I originally was going to make the file folder and was like wait I have file folders, so it is my stock of a folder with a digital label put on it.
The information are little inside points to a lot of the stories the character has appeared in. It is all of my own design, based LeCarre's work. I used 's awesome textured paper again [link]
for the paper feel.

Hope ya like

Gosh this is fab.
MASSIVE John LeCarre fan myself, adore Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and think Smiley is just superb.
I choose him over Bond anyday.
Seen the film? I rather loved it, even though many had their misgivings.
Alec Guiness is just flawless too.
Both Oldman and Alec really do the character complete justice.
(Shocked it's taken me so long to find this.)

Thanks so much! I really like Smiley a lot, I am a big fan of Bond. But I must say that Smiley is the real deal, gritty spy in the trenches. I enjoyed the movie very much, Oldman was perfect. But I must say that if IĀ  had not read the book or seen the mini-series would have been completely lost with the story. But I was able to fill in those missing details with my knowledge.
And my apologies for taking so long to answer you back. I always appreciate your comments.

I love Bond too, but theres something entirely unreachable with him. Smiley is downtrodden and damaged and constantly at odds with the modern world, one which doesn't play by the rules of the old world with blurred lines and so on.Ā
Oldman is superb, as is Guiness, they both hit the same beats at times. Guiness presents the more pathetic meek but quietly frustrated vibes in the character and Oldman brings the more manipulative, silent and watching character. He's ruthless too. Both are totally transfixing though. I really really hope Smiley's People gets picked up as a film.
I actually hadn't read the books or seen the series before I saw the film, so I was completely new to the world, but I bought it completely.Ā

Ah no worries!Ā
