Mecha-Taninim for . The fourth piece in a six-part art trade. And I think it turned out fantastic.

Usually, I don't say much about these thing beyond what I wrote above, but I feel this one needs a bit of explanation. Mecha-Taninim is suppose to have "various ports" all along his back that open up and unleash explosive drones, and I also wanted to make him look... well, like Taninim. So, I decided to kill two birds with one stone- the metal 'fins' on his back are the ports. The darker caps can pop open and let the drones spill out in waves.

Another bit where I took some liberty was the tail. It splits at the midpoint open to reveal a huge broadsword-like weapon, but I didn't think it would be very useful to have half the tail stiff and jointless. Especially with the dramatic movement MM has planned for it. So, I gave it a fulcrum/joint halfway down, so that the blade can rotate some within the tail. Would allow the rest of the tail to flex and bend normally, and also provide from some nasty leverage when slashing, hacking, etc. Hope MM likes this idea, as well as the previous one. This one was a lot of fun to do, but I won't deny that I'm pretty anxious. Mechanizing one of MM's most iconic monsters is no plain job, so I hope I did better-than-plain work.
