Hi, I'm here from !
This is a really great painting, and very impressive for a first colour acrylic painting! You clearly have a talent for acrylic I've also looked at your black and white version, and that's really good as well.
I absolutely love the background to this - it's obviously very fitting for the composition, and you've used lovely brush strokes and blending to create it. I know it can be hard to create blending like that sometimes - I go all perfectionist and end up making it too smooth, so I' glad you've not done that, and kept the rough brush strokes visible. If anything, I'd like to see more of the red, and some darker shading on the outside red part as well - there's little bit too much green on the other side, so I don't think we're seeing as much red as we should. I'd say that the red should start from the middle of his face, and then gradually get darker from there - the yellow works best on the other side of his face
The facial composition is done really well, and I knew exactly who it was straight away. The hand are very realistic, and I love how you've done the dreads - they almost look real! Although the face is accurate I think you need to just be a bit careful with your shading - it might be better to try a more blended style next time, as he looks a little bit older here than he does in the reference picture. That's only a minor point though, as your shading is really beautiful the way it is, and I love how you've got so many colours into his skin.
Lastly, I really love how you've quite casually blended the composition into the background - this works really well. I think he needs a little more black to the right side of his head to shape it a bit more. Not too much, but just to round off that side a little bit like you've done with the left side, as it comes across as a little flat on the right. I don't think you need to add anything else to it though - your use of contrast is really good, as is your detail, so well done!

Hey there, commenting on behalf of
The first thing that caught my attention was how you created his skin. It's the most noticeable difference between your version and the original. I like the varying hues and brushwork, though i feel that the hair should've been given the same attention. I know the hair is suppose to be dark, but if you were able to do something new with the skin, i don't see why you couldn't have taken the same liberties with the hair. I think mixing colors like red or orange and giving the hair the same brushwork would make it go well with the rest of Bob Marley. Still on topic with the hair, the dreads are nicely rendered, but i noticed the rest of it has some messy brushwork that make the hair look incomplete. The background colors blend really well together, and again, digging the brushwork. I know if the original, Marley somewhat blends into the background, but here, he doesn't look like he's fading into colors, and i think that could be fixed if you blend some of the background colors into Marley (instead of trying to blend the black into the oranges and red).
Besides that, great painting overall, and i hope you find my suggestions useful to you

The range of tones and colors in his face looks awesome. I like how you handled his hair - the details on a few dreads looks great, and the details contrast nicely with the looser, more painterly feel of the outer edges of his hair.

The face probably wouldn't have had such a range of colour, but I was trying to 'go loud' to match the background and fortunately it worked out OK!
