Description
This is a gift for my very good friend Matt. Gah he's such a bishie <3 And he lurves Eevee and Kyogre! (not in a sickfuck way mind xD). Dreamt this up a couple of months ago, but didn't really have the patience required to draw it at the time as I was pretty stressed out. I didn't even realise how stressed out I was until I stepped back from the situation... urk Ok so this is turning into a blog now! Moving on...Initially drew everything on paper. Eevee was, pretty obviously, then line-arted in Flash (and coloured in Photoshop CS4). Matt was line-arted mainly in Manga Studio (which is an irritating piece of software in some ways, but awesome in others, I feel), then tidied up and coloured in the one program I always turn to in the end ; my trusty MS Paint!
Used the gradient-line pattern I made for the Vger pic again. I'll retire it soon, I promise! I just couldn't help using it here : I think it works really well!

huh. I thought all the base evolutions needed an item, just the original few then?

I asked my best friend, who will admit he knows way too much about pokemon, and i'll try to summarize what he said.
The three elemental evolutions, electric, water, and fire all need certain items. Two others, leaf and ice, need to be within a few steps of a certain rock in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum to turn into them. Umbreon needs a moon stone or evolve at night, Espion needs a sun stone or evlove during the day.
