Thank you so much for checking this out and for catching up with my Eyolf stuff! Yes, he's fairly new and he's developed very much since May when I first got the idea of creating a male vǫlva - I'm still nowhere near finishing his story (which is supposed to be a novella, 40-ish pages long) though.

(Deepest apologies for not commenting sooner on your new works featuring Eyolf! )
Starting with scratch with a brand-new character can be equally daunting and rewarding- esp working through the development and learning about the character, their life-story, and their personality gradually come to life!
It's really fantastic you chose to enroll Eyolf in the current round of OC-Training!
Your written description of Eyolf is at once arresting and evokes our captive interest-the contradiction of his youthful features against his scars and steely eyes hardened by wary experience-and your artistic depiction of Eyolf is equally riveting.
Your staggering amount of research to achieve such a high level of accuracy is mind-blowing to say the least, and the details of Eyolf's design and profession are impressive.
He feels, of course, a person from his own time, yet you have this incredible talent of creating people from past centuries and endowing them with such human natures, they feel like flesh and blood people we could easily encounter today in our age.
It begs repeating again how impressive the details are here- from Eyolf's undercut topped with a sleek, neat Mohawk, the golden earrings (perhaps signifying his position as a mystic?), his ringed fingers (does he have long nails? Or is that an error of my eyes?), and his "heavy and fleshy lips might well belong to a maiden" -only to be marred (or maybe made more striking, in another context) with the prominent scar creasing across his aquiline nose.
It will be fascinating to learn more of his character in this round!
Also, quick question- what sort of duties/obligations does a mystic's profession? Is it similar to a shaman's/seer's?
Last but not least, the fact that you executed this portrait in acrylic is just mind-blowing- the colors blend so naturally! And the gloss on his hair and jewelry glints almost life-like!

This is wonderful! I just love the strong colours and contrasts you use. His expression is so mysterious. I love that barely-there, knowing smile. And I'm very curious about that scar. Will we find out how he got it?
Can't wait to read the story!

So nice to finally see him in full view here! I think the colours you've used here really bring out his background (from what you told me) and what his interests are. He looks a bit sad and thoughtful here, and reminds one a bit of Aidan, though you did say he's quite different from him in many respects. I can't wait to learn more about him this round!
The short story sounds neat too - will he be the main "voice" of the short story, or will it be in third person? But that's probably a spoiler

Thank you for the awesome comment! That's right, he does look a bit like Aidan - I hadn't intended that xD Not very representative of him, but I guess he is pensive from time to time (and more profound than Yngvar initially thinks him to be - they have a rough start and not only ^^).
No, it's Yngvar. I was thinking to make it half from Eyolf's pov and half from Yngvar's, but we'll see how that goes (all my notes so far are from Yngvar's pov, first person).

Ah, I see. It would be more interesting to see it from Yngvar's view at this point since we would (at least I would) like to see how Yngvar perceives Eyolf and perhaps even compare him to Aidan (if he is narrating from a point far enough in the future).

Awesome! What sort of intimate moments did they share? If I remember correctly they never got physical and it was mostly just a friendship sort of intimacy right?

I guess it may not be so bad with Yngvar since he barely feels attracted to most people, and Aidan and Eyolf are the only people he feels a true, burning passion for. If he felt attracted to more people and more often, it would be more of a torture for him that he doesn't get to enjoy intimacy very much.
Can't wait to see how his interaction with Eyolf is like, and what makes Eyolf not exactly loveable! I wonder if he is a bit like Asvald, only less cruel (or even worse?).

Can't wait to see what you mean by that, about Eyolf! And do we see any other characters we know interact with him besides Yngvar? Do we see Valdis interact with him? The Wise-Women?

Well, the story takes place in southern Norway about 5 years before the novel, so Yngvar is travelling there with his troops only. I think Hakon and Jarl Skjar (Rannveig's uncle, who I realized is a very underdeveloped character) will appear - they definitely know Eyolf and have interacted with him, Jarl Skjar mediated the first meeting between Yngvar and Eyolf, but I haven't really decided what part they will play in the story.
