Thank you! The brush I use the most in Photoshop is the hard round brush, with opacity set to respond to pen pressure. For blending, I turn off the shape dynamics, and for details, I turn it on. That's pretty much it!

... this is digital? ;; Parts of it look genuinely watercolour-y. I would've bet money on it.
Digital or not, though, this kicks ass. The eyes say so much, even without typical eyebrows to add to the expression, and those backlit whiskers are a great addition.
