Description When Archer heard the rumor about the absurdly powerful and massive knight creeping in a dungeon somewhere near the ancient Dwemer Ruin of Alftand β€” the so called Artorias the Abysswalker β€”Β he never thought it was a bad idea to go try and hunt down this dungeon, nor did he think it was a bad idea to try and defeat the monster. But after he finally encountered the eight-foot-tall undead knight, easily wielding in one hand a huge greatsword that any normal man would have wielded with two, and projecting an aura of darkness that left a sense of sickening dread in his heart, the Argonian immediately regretted the first words that blurted out of his mouth: "Wow, that is one big sword. You compensating for something?"

As Archer would learn the hard way, Artorias most certainly did not need to compensate for anything.

Just want to take this opportunity to let you guys know that I am back for a few days. I'll be uploading a Skyrim Quickshot, which I originally intended as a sort of epilogue to Skyrim is Strange - Redemption Pt.5, and I hope to upload a full-length comic some time this weekend. Probably tomorrow, because that's the only day I'll probably have the time. Expect a little bit of... fanservice.

Fortunately, the abysswalker does not have the room to do all of his fancy flips and spins in that tunnel.

Though it does seem as if his arm is no longer broken, so that might pose a few problems.

I think that Archer has the advantage just because the rather cramped environment doesn't favor a large person wielding an equally-large weapon. But that probably does not mean at all that Artorias will be an easy fight, either; close quarters means that Archer would have little room to dodge, too.

I would normally go on a tirade about how Atrorias isn't undead, but I won't.Β

Also, I am downloading that armor mod once Special Edition comes out.

I did read a bit about his lore when I downloaded the mod, and I think I remember that he's technically just corrupted and kinda going feral. But I figured that any rumor Archer would've heard wouldn't have gotten into specifics like that.

Archer needs to put a dam between his brain and mouth.

A master of tact, he most certainly is not.

The undead knight might still be over compensating for something. You lose a lot when you're no longer alive.

Whatever he might have lost throughout the course of his undeath, he certainly hasn't lost his ability to effectively wield a giant flippin' greatsword with one hand.

Wow it's like the witch king impregnated Shelob the spider.

Thank goodness you specified it was the spider Shelob. Artorias is terrifying enough as it is! That'd just make it worse!

Ehehehehe yeah.

Also, quite an emotional swing in the last two template of a hero chapters.

Yep, it's getting a little dark n' edgy, isn't it? It's not gonna get much better this next chapter, either... Almost feel bad for Team Dragonborn.

And Varan, he just killed his brother, dishonored his organization and daddy Sithis is pissed, I bet Archer is gonna get into an argument with Delphine after she insults the Graybeards.

You made me hate Markarth, one of my fav cities on the game as much as I hate Windhelm.

Omg, Archer may well be my favorite Argonian of all time.

Loooove.

I does. He's cuddly, not something you usually equate with lizard.

Don't tease the knight, Archer! He comes from a game wayΒ harder than yours!

This scenario reminds me of a YouTube video I watched a while back which insisted that every oversized weapon in Dark Souls was a penis metaphor and the doors they guarded were all vaginas. I have no idea how I found it or why I sat through the entire thing.

I haven't played Dark Souls, but if Artorias is even half as hard in that game as he was on Legendary difficulty here, then he deserves all the respect. Poor Archer doesn't even have a nifty bonfire to respawn at if he dies!

You were obviously enraptured by the hidden, deeper literary value of the Dark Souls games. Inspiring stuff.

Perfect! Now if people start laughing at you, you can stab them from 15 feet away, even if they are on horseback.
