Note: I don't watch RWBY - I don't plan to. I only know bits and pieces of the story from outside sources, and I'm not interested in watching it because I know it starts going downhill fast. I'm only really interested in some characters and some of the music, which I do really enjoy, but it's not enough to really get me into the series...
With that being said, here's a short synopsis of the head of Team RWBY!

A trainee of the now-defunct Beacon Academy, Ruby Rose is a Huntress who acts as the leader of Team RWBY alongside Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and her elder half-sister, Yang Xiao Long. Born on Halloween, her mentality has been described as "I don't have time for my emotions. I've gotta make sure that everybody else is okay" - she's been shown to be a very capable leader, and she's been known to put her friends' safety over hers, going to any lengths to protect her comrades. She's also been shown to have quite a sweet tooth, preferring plenty of sugar in her coffee and she'll scarf down whole plates of cookies at a time. She's also a self-proclaimed weapons dork - she designed her weapon of choice, Crescent Rose, herself - Crescent Rose is a large and powerful scythe that can also double as a high-calibur sniper rifle (it can even change shape to make firing more efficient), making it a very versatile tool. She's a socially awkward girl who, despite being able to get along with friends, seems to have trouble making new ones - she's even admitted that seeing new weapons is "like meeting new people, but better". Even so, she's a very friendly and enthusiastic person who can get along great with those who share that enthusiasm. Her leadership skills, bubbly personality, and selfless attitude make Ruby a really nice person to be around, and as long as she's on your side, you can rest assured that victory is in a simple soul.
