Over a year had passed since the day which had changed things so much around the stable.
Despite Aramathya's soothing abilities, Anna still was too fragile to consider jumping, and
delegated the training of less-predictable youngsters to the staff; Saigon's smooth gait was
one of the few she could ride without pain.

Bomb, too, had been a case of uncertainty, swinging from good days to terrible days, and
for a long time the possibility of euthanising him was still on the table, present in everyone's
minds. But as the weather warmed up, the black stallion began having several good days in
a row, and his bad days were not too bad at all. And today...

Bomb didn't react at all as Anna hosed down his leg; he seemed to enjoy being able to relax
out in the sun. Moreover, he stood squarely, with even weight between both forelegs, and
as she ran her hand between his knee and fetlock, she could feel no heat or swelling anywhere.
"I guess you're bored of being broken, huh boy," she murmured, unable to hold back a
small smile. "What do you say? Ready to start training again?"
