Description An assortment of small artifacts gathered from the Miskatonic University archives.

Just a few small fun projects put together from items found at Michael's, and Goodwill. Some of these are still only half finished, and will likely turn up here at a later date.

Spiraling in from left to right:

A scroll box I found at Michael's for $1 and finish is just red and brown craft paint applie dwith a paper towel. Eventually it'll have something interesting inside and have a more aged finish.

Bottle of 'Essential Saltes'. Flour, blue craft sand and a touch of black pastel chalk dust in a $1.29 Michael's bottle. Its been sprayed with matte finish, but I hope to pick up some glass etching liquid and give it a proper cloudy appearance.

The small box was $1 at Goodwill. Some retch had painted it black and it took the better part of an afternoon to sand it off and stain it properly.

Fake newspaper clipping downloaded and printed on newsprint paper.

The Elder Sign necklace is the very first Mythos item I created out of Skulpy.

The HPL pendant is a chincy little 'Industrial' necklace I found at Michael's. The photo is a downloaded pic.

The potion bottle is a wooden needle case (again from Michael's) etched with a Dremel tool and stained. 2 for $3.

The little glass vials I found at SteamCon last year for $0.79 each and filled with itens off the spicerack, a bit of olie oil, and a tiny latex worm.

The most expensive item is the 'Flying Cthuhlu' pin, which set me back $10. A chintzy pin I found at the store, the wings are a pair of earrings held on with a blob of epoxy putty on the back.

What splendid relics! (I followed a link from Brass Goggles to your wonderful gallery. ) I also like the fact you found a lot of inspiration at Michael's, which is a favorite haunt of mine as well.

Phil, this entire collection is really good. I like the mood it sets by having them all together.

On the wall of my living room is a collection of photos that I bought over the years at Goodwill. They are all framed. When we have guests, I start making up stories about each photo, claiming that they are all loved and much missed relatives. The stories are never the same. I realize this may be a bit strange, but it is so much fun.

Your piece is truly beautiful. g
