Description The third illustration in my Doctor Who triptych. This one featuring the four original actors to portray the Doctor: William Hartnell (First Doctor), Patrick Troughton (Second Doctor), Jon Pertwee (Third Doctor) and Tom Baker (Fourth Doctor). Everything we know and love about Doctor Who today can be attributed to the first four Doctors. Much of the Doctor's history was established during their time in the role and their portrayals influenced many of the actors to follow in the role.

Much like my two previous multi-Doctor illustrations I have the Four Doctors sizing each other up to a degree. With a little twist. I have The First and Third Doctor's giving each other rather stern looks. However, I have the Fourth Doctor offering the Second Doctor a Jelly Baby. This was inspired by a funny outtake from The Five Doctors where Patrick Troughton takes out a bag of Jelly Babies and is scolded (in jest) by Jon Pertwee when he is offered one.

This is the third and final illustration in my Doctor Who triptych. I realize I didn't do the series in order. But Doctor Who has always been kind of like that

I do like how you've got Hartnell and Pertwee siding against Baker and Troughton. Kinda makes sense.

All I can think of is the The Last Supper Sketch from Monty Python where the Pope asks Michelangelo why he painted three Christs and Michelangelo answers "The fat one balances out the two skinny ones"
