eh are you considering to join the military?

Josiah-Black In reply to HhabzZyYy [2014-01-18 18:50:36 +0000 UTC]

yeah, strongly. but if possible I'll enter the Reserves. I'm not sure if I explained what those are... so its basically were you train to become a solider but you sit inactive unless there is a time of war. mostly it would be a way to pay for going to a university.

oh damn u dont get student loans in america? o.O pretty much everyone here gets a loan unless ur parents earn too much

Josiah-Black In reply to HhabzZyYy [2014-01-19 02:17:17 +0000 UTC]

...duh we get loan!....lol yeah XD... everybody gets loans......its just in some places loans have higher or lower rates. I may even end up just getting a loan and using that to pay. but I'm not sure I want to take that risk. working with art may not insure that ill be able to pay off that loan. or If do get a good job, I may still end up paying off that loan for 20 or 30 years........ On the other hand I can be in the reserves(pay for school) and go to school at the same time.

LOL @ "everyone here gets a loan unless ur parents earn too much"  here in American we are pretty lazy but on occasions we work too.

HhabzZyYy In reply to Josiah-Black [2014-01-20 22:23:28 +0000 UTC]

ah we just got one student loan company in the uk so its all got the same rate. with loans u will only need to pay it back if u make a certain amount of money annually from ur job n den they take a bit off your wages themselves but if u dont earn a certain amount from whatever jobs you get for the next 30 yrs after graduation then u dont pay it back at all, and thats how the uk went into recession. uk fees went up form the new government party but luckly my yr was the last year to get it good so i got  ema before they stopped doing it and i got 3k fees for uni instead of 9k for the people a year below me wooo

lol nice. I wish our system was better. people do get a moderate amount of federal and private assistance. some people do get extra assistance over here. immigrates and people with no job and teen moms and seem to get everything free.....-_-'........ because we have nothing batter to do with our tax dollars then to pool it into charity. to me it seems like a rewards system for failing. (not that I don't think those people deserve any help.... but they should be giving jobs not free education )

.....that's just what I think...

sorry i take so long to reply at times, ive had alot of work and jobs to be applying for plus the heatlhcase in the uk is shit coz both my niece and dad needs surgery and they keep postponing it n taking the piss especially with my niece since they cancled wen shewas in the gown and ready to go in -___-

our tax goes to benefits and shit like that too but it takes the piss coz some ppl are working and not declaring it so they get benefits too urgh, i dont like that wen i finish uni ill be in a higher tax band coz i will earn alot from doing engineering so its like i put more effort to get education just to pay for the people that dont work, some people need it but some fully take the piss n theyre just lazy -___-

oh yeah XD you took so long I almost gave up on you. (I just figured some freshy had carried you off)

being able to work is so great... but I does take a lot your time. :/ (I hate spplying for things because it takes so long -__-) our medical is kinda expensive but you don't usually have to wait vary long. unless you are waiting for a transplant.

(ppl are working and not declaring it so they get benefits too) <--- super annoying but it happens everywhere..... but probably not in Russia where you get shot for stuff like that (from what I hear)

this yr my course got sao much harder, usually i finish work liek aweek before deadline since i start wen i get it but this year i had literally 50% less assignments and its like 100000times harder so m literally slaving away til the night before doing it urgh and ive hard crazier hours like 9-6 with one hour break.

wiht jobs i been applying as much as i can but i wont apply for stupid ones that i defo dont want so i save time writing cover letters to them personally. with like the medical shit, coz its all free here it can take the piss coz im used to my parents being in n out coz theyre disabled with like internal problems too that need to be dealt with but this year its both my niece and dad that needs heart operations and theyre takign the piss so muc hwith postponing it n then moving it forward n then cancling it last minute. atthe moment it seems like both of um will get the operations in the same week which is hard for my family and my brothrs family since we cant help each other due to it being different hospitals and ill be in uni during the week n i cud only come on weeknds urgh

-__- hard core....I guess we both will really appreciate when we are finally done with school.

I feel sorry for you. I know it really sucks not being able to get around when ever I need to. don't you have some to help like a family friend or someone to help shofar your parent and niece?

I guess I'm super fortunate, because even though I have had to write several cover letters and updated resumes I've always got the first job I've gone for. :/ that probably wont be the same when I transfer to a Uni...

i dunno if i tell u anything about my sister but shes pretty usless, she can help and drive but she takes thepiss coz shes lazy and moody and blames my parents for her laziness. shes married yet she sponges off my parents still and i know she gets angry being compared to me since she messed up her own life -____-

my mum luckly applied for a taxi card so coz shesdisabiled she got free travel in london anyway but now she can call taxis for free to help transport. for my niece she has both of her parents and her mums side helping but the problem is that my family and my brothers family wont be able to visit each other coz we got to deal with out own family member kind of thing

in terms of jobs, all the ones im going for are big names and its engineering so literally every engineering student in the uk would be applying for the same jobs and they jsut screen out people quickly urgh

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Josiah-Black In reply to HhabzZyYy [2014-01-27 15:21:46 +0000 UTC]

yes i think did, well at least she (your sister) is consistent. it must be hard being compared to you. XD it complain too much because my sister aren't really lazy. they just create a ton of extra work, that they cant handle. like second oldest sister who ran away from home, then decided to move back in (twice!?) then move out again to live with her boyfriend, which our parents really didn't approve of, then she decided to marry the guy which our dad had said "no, you do not have permission to marry my daughter"... she married him anyway.... now she is working 3 jobs, taking care of sick husband, and going back and forth with idea of divorce. to top it all off she had baby! so guess who takes care of the baby. <--- (our parents) -__-

it's defiantly a good thing that you got the taxi service. but yeah there is always the family thing.

don't sweat it. i'm sure that your skills are in high enough demand that even if you couldn't get a job you really like right away you could always look at your options abroad.

HhabzZyYy In reply to Josiah-Black [2014-01-27 21:51:50 +0000 UTC]

it sounds like she tried to be independent and she made her own choices but now its too much, my mum said my sister wants to have a baby but she cant even look after herself and her marriage is shit, they almost got divorced but they havnt coz of the efforrt so instead wen they argue constantly. im worried if they had a kid my parents would look after them for my sister urgh. im not surprised ur parents still do that for her coz end of the day shes their daughter so they will do what they can even if theyre not happy with what shes done with her life but its still a pisstake on the bystanders.

its more like im getting screened out for dumb things like i didnt do these subjects in college before going to uni so i did like arty stuff and then did a pre degree in uni to get into engineering so even doh it shows i gained the skills in a year compared to two years in college, some places still require me to haev done it in college -____-

in terms of going abroad, i can easily go into europe coz of my passport but then the language barrier even if the company speaks english the ppl around there will not and i dont feel like picking up french or something, not feeling it at all

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Josiah-Black In reply to HhabzZyYy [2014-01-28 05:13:57 +0000 UTC]

yeah she is super independent... unless she need something. I just don't get why our parent put up with her. she treat them like horribly but some how she think its ok to ask them for favors.

I can't help but think 1.) I would never raise a daughter to think like that and 2.) if I some how did, she would be getting a whole lot of tough love.

ehh sound like dumb procedures.  well, I wish you well in that.

no? don't like the thought of living abroad. I should think India would love to have you back.

HhabzZyYy In reply to Josiah-Black [2014-01-28 22:52:02 +0000 UTC]

my sister pretends to be independent buh shes jsut a immature 29year old who cant do shit, she rushed into a shitkid marriage to some guy from about country and they cant even communicate coz he cantspeak english so my mum needs to speak a mix of hindi and farsi to communicate when they argue. my mum still does shit for her regardless of hr piss poor behaviour to my parents. its jsut what parents do

i dont want a kid liek this but end of the day, still want to help them but all we cando now is to learn from this and makesure the future generation of kids dont become shitkids

i would want to go to a english speaking country for work but then i would need a visa since i dont need it to go into europe coz i got british passport

I the feeling its probably like the difference between where I'm going (Seattle) and where I'm at now (Bremerton) in Washington. one have a average rent around $800 then the other has a average more around $8000. no joke. xP

worse thing is Seattle still has sketchier streets despite costing so much more. cus in America its apparently not nice to kick out any of the beggars and homeless.... or criminals. *roll eyes*

its not group work XD but i still like to carry my friends or i would end up with no friends coz they would fail D:. one of my friends tony he was in my group for everything since foundation year and he tries to carry thegroup during group work buh hes dumb n den i end up having to carry him and make the group members carry themself

i barely eat fruit, drinking water now since my eyes been hurting, i think my glasses need to get changed coz theyre not helping i still get strained eyes now.

I know I meant just normal work that ends up being group work because your friends keep asking you for help.

ultimate dilemma LOL if you just let all your Friends fail that there would less competition for those good jobs you want.

normally if your feeling odd its has to do with what you are or aren't eating, I think. but it could be your glasses.

i do basically the most demanding course in my uni, my uni is known for sports since usain bolt and the other jamaican athletes train there in the summer. but its second best in the uk for aerospace as of this year so i do like 9am-6pm with an hour break on some days and i dont get days off. peopel that do law and shit in my uni get like 3days a week of uni and they do like 2hours on each day -___-

i travel home each weekend to help with my family since theyre not well and my big brother n sister are shitkids but my other brother helps as he can. my uni is like the edge of london and i live at the top of london so its retarded how in foundation year i used to travel 2hours there n den 2hours back and i was fine but then last year i had to move out on campus mid year coz it just got too tiring D:
