Evangelion tribute (with my own design) I guess.Finished up an older sketch. Trying to hit that hand-painted japanese animation background look.
If things go smoothly, I am gonna climb that mountain soon...
I was kinda bummed about how weakly my last Yuki Onna piece was received since I was pretty happy with it...
whatever.

I love the vast open sky, that's something that always fascinated me in the original Evangelion and the Rebuild.
They should better sink the buildings, I guess... ^_^

Why do these giant mechs and monsters always have to fight in cities? And mostly asian cities? You'd think asians would learn to build their cities in better places! Obviously these lands were already staked out by giant mecha and monsters!

Wait, you said you were unhappy with the image because so much could be improved, but you were happy about it because of the hand and foot which I thought was nice.

yah i always fall into the same trap: expecting an image to make a good impression. Its better to never expect anything even if you think you have just achieved a masterpiece. ARGH!

Honestly, I felt pretty insulted.
I knew there were a few things I could have improved but that's theoretically speaking. Practically I am just not there yet. And for the skills I have at this point I thought it was the best I could do. But yeah, whatever. Sometimes I just don't know what I am doing wrong. I can get worked up about this quite a bit but I know I shouldn't, so I won't.

I know how ya feel :/ you're not alone
Just know that there is no limit if you keep pushing for it, even if the results come in slowly. Don't let this get you down, you know you can achieve that level you want. You've done it with cityscapes, landscapes and perspective with practice and persistence. So what's stopping you from improving on your figures? Your confidence! I know you can do it
