I know it isn't what you had in mind, but I still see her being given the up and up by her husband's rival, since they'd have an instant eager to help teammate or agent once things were explained to her: which is a LOT more useful than going "Hahah! I got yer custom made wife! Nya-nya!"

It's nice to see she broke free from the mind control in the end. I was always wondering what happened to her after the rescue.

Okay, I hope we DON'T see more of the bride post botched sacrifice, OR hear any more of her comments. While covers always either spoil, or in many many more cases mislead, and thus can be free to be as they will be, the actual content of the comic is not so. While it's a futile situation for the victims according to the motif, it's the anticipation of the unspoken unknown that drives the excitement.
So while this IS a remake and thus we do really know how things will more or less turn out, I'd rather we pretend that we HAVEN'T read the old draft and we don't hear any more of the post-botched-sacrifice bride's comment on these turn of events. So I'm going to see this as PAGE ZERO!
Also, for the record, the original comic worked GREAT without any dialogue or narrative boxes beyond the 'short time later' 'the next day' variety. And adding more than that would detract from things IMHO. Comic books are a VISIAL medium after all.
Also, I REALLY REALLY REALLY dislike that we find out ahead of time RIGHT ON PAGE ONE that the bride gets the memories of her past existence back, I say past existence since the Xellos wannabee said that reality would retrofit to accommodate for the people he TFed+brainzapped into existence since a being can't exist without a place in the cosmos and yet Xellos-copy's victims DO exist thus creating a paradox. And reality instead of cutting the knot and having them die, reality actually FIXES the problem by fitting them into the grand scheme of reality instead.
SO while the bride COULD find out about what her husband did and almost did to her, her previous existence wouldn't really exist to go back to (since the news papers did note about the DAUGHTER being married).
By the way, for the record, the bizarre coincidences plus their refuge in audacity that pop up in this comic (like the Xellos-copy accidently saving his bride from being murdered on his wedding night anyway) are all in all a CHARMING aspect of your comics in the way you use them without trying to pretend that you aren't.
So yeah, I don't like the added introduction at all, sorry. Good art, and I'm sure there's a reason she's dressed like a japanese that makes me curious, but seriously, I really just don't like the introduction here, I'd have liked the comic to start on panel four WITHOUT any narrative or dialogue boxes.
That is my personal opinion on this comic page, some may agree, some may disagree, but that is my opinion and as a reviewer I feel it's my duty to share my honest one with you.
Good day, and good luck with the rest of the comic, I'll be reading every page.

I could have sworn I said Chinese, my mistake.
And your other comment is pure flame bait.

I'd take that seriously if it wasn't meaningless flame bait.

I knew the dress was chinese but I screwed up and said Japanese. But I didn't know the proper name for it, so thank you.
I hope my post proves constructive.

I have a feeling this is a retelling of his original story by the same name. I think it's still in his gallery.
I'm interested in the differences between the two.
