I love the expression she has when asking for a skateboard. I also love the shading on her dress and the background.
Im not entirely sure though what im seeing in panel six. Trees and some kind of gem/eye thing?

Panel six is my poor attempt at perspective again, and the "eye" is supposedly Cherry from a bird's perspective.

OMG I see it now! That was really weird. For some reason it looked like an eye and the trees looked like a dragoneque shape to me.

Hogsqueal was a semi-cowardly, gluttonous little creature that nevertheless managed to avoid coming off as annoying (in the movie at least).
Is it just me or is that a tree saying its you in the last panel. Oh and she really needs to learn not to make comments like that in a world where people might take them seriously grin.

Not sure what you mean. I know (thanks, Wikipedia) that Hobsqueal is some kind of hobgoblin. But I've never experienced The SpiderWick Chronicles.
