Thankyou so much again! I was struggling with the hands originally and I think the fingers still are a bit short but i'm glad they atleast look alright. x3 

And the most happy I have to be of the fact I've made someone smile with my work, I'm so glad~

Thanks! I usually don't do sonic-characters/ocs so I tried to make it look like "sonic" enough. Mimicking the style of the games/shows a bit while keeping it somehow mine. 

(not to mention I found couple easy shading tricks by accident while making this... X'D )

Basically just colour it in without shades, clip a layer over the original. Set the Upper layer to "multiply", pick the colour below. Shade. Clean shades with a soft eraser.

I'm not sure how to explain it better X'D

o i thought its something more complicated, this seems like normal shading xD
well i myself do only rough shading, been thinking of doing something more realistic and soft, but im scared cause everytime i try it turns out pretty bad

Mooostly yeah well, I usually have the layers separated and just shade on those separate layers (skin, hair, so on...)

But when I digitally paint I have max. 2 layers working (background and the character)

XD i usually have like 10 layers for a simple doodle, i love layers
one time i had like 80 layers
i keep them in folders so i know what's where though
