And now for something a little different!!

This is a mock CD cover I did for the book Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. I'm reading it for my English class, and our first project concerning our book of choice was to create a fake music CD, including a cover. I had a lot of fun with this and am exceptionally proud of how it came out; my favorite part are probably the tree blossoms. The peach tree and bees are significant objects of symbolism in the book, and the woman sitting at the foot of it is supposed to be Janie, the main character.

I scanned the picture into my computer, did the linework in Adobe Illustrator CS3, and added a texture I found on the internet over it in Adobe Photoshop CS3.
